Oh yeah, it's an O-300. Got one just like it myself!! 51 model C-170A (N1297D). The O-300 may sound like a big engine and smooth running too, but lacking a lil on the HP side!! Gotta love the 170 though. Nice pickup.
I think the invasion stripes look sharp on a low-wing plane. I always figured they took off with the banner attatched. Learning something new everyday.

That's a 140HP engine in this plane. The banner is the equivelant of 400 pounds of drag and for that reason, he can be the only person on the plane.

No, it would completely mess up the banners, and remove the paint, quicker the better for not dragging them
