This is Melanie Safca, who went by just Melanie in the early 70's. . She did Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)  and Brand New Key. Lay Down is one of the most beautiful songs you'll hear. It's about Woodstock, but also sounds like it could the crowds surrounding Jesus. The little girl is so sweet and innocent. I bet she will always remember those balloons.
