  • hey thx for this vid i just got the game but the plus version and i wasnt too sure wat that 'song' button was for lol now i kno wat to do xD....i still cant make a good beat tho :|......T_T

  • U kinda sound like a stalker at the beg. lol...

    Just sayin

  • You called it a touchpad synthesizer, but its actually called a Kaoss Pad:P

  • lol this guy is fucked up

  • this is good NOT

  • can you play more than 1 note on the piano to make chords?

  • no, it's monophonic like the original ms-10. but the ds isn't multi touch anyway. so you would need to sequence any chords. there are two main synths

  • was that a mo hawk I saw in the relection off the ds

  • Yes. you like?

  • nah but i have a question about korg ds, can you modify the drum samples (twirp, hi-hats..) at all?

  • Yes you can edit/load each of the drum samples. You get four banks in the form of pads (a la triggerfinger). You hit "edit", then the bank you want to edit. You can then modify almost everything you can modify on the synths - with the exception of the "release", on the synth edit module - synth edit, patch bay edit, and channel effects bus.

So far I've found it advantageous to craft a bassline out of the bass kick, and use the synths for more moving pieces. I'll get a sample soon to illustrate.

  • The best sound i have made so far is to take the standard 'innit' keyboard sound, then go into 'fx' and mess about with the delay and feedback, it gives a lovely trance/beach beat, i plan on making a trance tune soon. :)

  • i forgot to add.. in 'fx' turn the dry/wet knob to about 50%, then in the kaos pad, select 'set' at the top and change the scale to aeolia and key c. This gives a really nice sound.

  • I'm considering buying this, but can anyone give me an idea on how hard this is to pick up? Is it easy or more of a musicians tool?

  • I've never used anything like this before and i am creating some pretty cool stuff. I would say it easy to pick up but difficult to master.

  • Very cool, man. Thanks.

Your video is the first to really demonstrate how to properly make a tune. I was able to fiddle with the synth, but wasn't able to create an actual song. Much appreciated.

  • well since there are two synthes on the top, I believe each of you could use one and play over both systems? i'm not sure. I'll experiement more. I know when u pick it, you pick your set, and then pick master or slave ds. I'm not sure....have to wait till my gf comes down and test it out.

  • 2nd cool
