  • when i heard this, i rushed to the store and had a fight just to get to the album ....

  • pau no cu da midia sera ????que pensam assim

  • How cruel to only throw one verse on this incredible song;

    WHY DO THE ROOTS ALWAYS DO THIS TO ME;

    this song, and unwritten off of Rising Down have insanely good beats and thought comes WAY harder then usual then they just cut the song at like a minute;

    breaks my heart :(

  • Hip-Hop at it's purest.

  • In examining and analyzing the lyrics a little more closely and directly the song can be interpreted different ways. Yes, one can interpret it from the perception of President George W. Bush, another would be the idealistic, cliche' African-American hood or gangster - or perhaps on a broader scale, a simple text of fundamental manipulation of power. Lyrically, unqestionably one of Black Thought's most intricately sophisticated and substantial works to date.

  • False media we don't need it do we.......

    Fuck no, look where it's got us so far,we gotta let it go..

    -CNN, Fox and all of them alike

    -food industrial complex

    This Shits Hot

  • pilgrim(white people), slave(black people), indian(native american), mexican(the ovbious), this master piece goes way beyond racism.... the republican admon. and the Bush's administration has gotten eveerybody fucked up....no matter they just want your money and your soul....

  • It never was the bush Administration friend. The social Elite... the bourgeoisie who hold us down to keep their power are those really at the helm. Republican, Democrat, CEO, Lobbyist, they all are those who use economic feudalism to enslave us all.

  • @TheRonin5 - It's good to see someone who is truly enlightened. Keep passing the knowledge on...it matters.

  • @TheRonin5 physical slavery requires the slaves be fed and housed, contempory monetary based economic slavery requires the slaves feed and house themselves...

  • I love this song; the beat, the chorus, the lyrics, the flow, even the quote at the beginning. This my be the best opening song for an album I've ever heard.

  • feel the same way and I'm a HUGE fan of Act Won on "Things Fall Apart"

  • they should of promote this album more.

  • hell yea!! Jay-Z sucks at this man!! this album shits all over Kingdom Come.

  • @NasNY Kingdom Come was such a terrible album. I personally liked BP3, but both Kingdom Come and American Gangster pretty much get shit on by any other album ever.

  • @bigrobdeezey

    9th wonders remix to american gangster is nuts

    makes the album that much better

    i heard the album was done by a fan of 9th wonder though

    the beats are definitely 9th though

    just not mixed by him

  • @NasNY How does Jay-Z suck?

  • @NasNY wtf does jay-z have to do with anything? u feel the need to demean another artist just so u can say something nice about another? kinda sound like a hater.

  • @NasNY his ass should have stayed retired

    nas killed him on ether and no one remembers
