Actually it was Arn Anderson that came up with the name the four horsemen. They were all champions at the time and had lined up to do interviews but tv time was running out. AA got up there and started speaking and it came off the top of his head. This was something the writers and producers didn't even think of. For reference watch the dvd called Ric Flair and the four horsemen its on there.
