  • gotta love the cameltoe on firestar.........lol

  • Fond Saturday morning memories of my childhood in the early 80's.

  • as much as I like story and character development in the comics, this cartoon was sheer awesome because it LACKED both those aspects. It was just a show where three superheroes kicked ass and went to see some movies afterwards. No conspiracy bullshit, no skull invasions, no Age of Apocalypse retcons. no, just spidey, firestar, and iceman doing their thing.

  • How cool! Love the 0:54-1:02 part of the song, as well!

Thank you for posting the video!

The Clarences love "Spiderman & His Amazing Friends"!

  • 20 years hence, this would become the largest source of memes.

  • @Jaimas No....that's 60's Spiderman, this is the 80's one.

  • Firestar was my Fav XD

  • lool, Firestar grows a camel toe when she changes :P

  • Firestar was smokin

  • I loved this in 80s on a saturday morning

  • i remember this came on after the incredible hulk cartoon...AHH PRICELESS!!!

  • My favorite cartoon ever! I watched it in the 90's when I was 3 years old and it have made me a Spider-man's fan for a lifetime.

  • Y'know something? out of all three of them, Spidey's the only hero who was not born with his powers.

  • This should defintely be a theatre movie.

  • The should make a movie Spiderman and his amazing friends

  • ah, Saturday mornings , almost 20 years ago,,,

  • @VeryFanaticAboutFilm Uhhhh try almost 30 years ago,not 20.....this came out in the early 80's.......lol.

  • @Foolishpleazure U r right, but I wasn't born on the 80s, so for me it was almost 20 years ago (as it was played on tv for many years on repeats)

  • I love hearing young kids talking about how Spiderman "should" be. Spiderman belongs to all of us, not just you kids.

  • wow, thanks for the clean copy of the intro. Hopefully this and "Spider-man" will come to dvd...

  • BEST Spiderman intro and I LOVED ALL of the character's voices in this series.

  • A Cool Team....

  • Best 80's cartoon ever!

  • i really love this cartoon!

  • The annoying thing is that Firestar's powers were not really FIRE, they were MICROWAVES. You never would have seen fire around her. If you did, she would presumably have been superheating the air into plasma, and you'd be totally FUCKED if you were anywhere near that.

  • @peacefuljeffrey Well, her powers did eventually give her cancer in the comics, so you're probably right :)

  • @peacefuljeffrey

She was created for theTV show first. The producers wanted to use the Human Torch but the rights were tied up, so they made up a female equivalent and used the Mary Jane design for her civilian identity. Then later she was introduced into the comics and that's where they specified that she could affect microwaves.

  • @Mokkari77 @thespiswolf : Why such a problem with Human Torch rights? thespiswolf, I read your comment on a Fantastic 4 post where you comment the same sort of thing.

    Just interested.

  • Wait, so...

Ice Man freezes the fire giant.

    Spiderman shatters the fire giant.

And Fire Star cleans up the mess?

Gotta love the old days and their sexism!

  • Dr Doom and Green goblin have youtube accounts and disliked this video!!! hahaha!

  • MF Doom @1:02 ;)

  • Hanna Barbera made this cartoon right?

  • The 80s was the best for cartoon shows like this

  • I actually met the voice actress for Fire Star (Angelica Jones) today in my theatre class today, infact this is the first thing she brought up with my class saying: "did any of you watch Spiderman and his amazing friends?" me: yeah than she said "I was Angelica Jones, Fire Star" :D

  • @XxAngiexXRPI Wow, I was in love with that character and am doing a custom action figure of firestar...

  • @mrfrogbutt1 sweeeeeeeeeet she looks like she'd be fun to draw too :D I feel like though she's kinda a rip off of Jean Grey cause back in the old days (mainly the X-men video games of the 90's) her X-men name was "Phoenix"

  • Best fricking series... EVER!

  • wow i just get nostalgia from watching this

  • Spiderman, Thundercats, Transformers, He-man, She-ra, Dungeons & Dragons, Ulysses31, Visionaries, Centurions, Dogtanian, Garfield, Gummi Bears, The Raccoons, Ghostbusters...........80's was the golden period for kids cartoons.

  • 0:40 my god, aunt may has to be incredible senile for them to be able to put all that stuff with ¡out her noticing...

  • @megamanzero2000 From what I can recall, Tony Stark gave it to them as a gift (because, you know, Tony's renowned for his altruism and all). He probably gave Aunt May a holiday to Tahiti or something while his technicians installed it :)

  • @MrSinister1979 You are right. Tony Stark did install their computer headquarters, as thanks for retrieving the Turbo Booster device back from the Beetle. However, he did not do a good job with the power hookup. Aunt May starting vacuuming and the static interfered with the computer's functions.

  • The city is being attacked by THE SUN!!

0:48 - Spiderman swings to the rescue, Iceman's like "Bitch i'm iceman, ima freeze you"

  • This is one of the reasons why the '80's were the best time to be a kid. You didn't have to pay extra for some cockamamie cable channel. This was just regular saturday morning network tv with antenna reception and it was friggin' awsome.

  • @Jonwood74 -- DEFINITELY!! I was born in '73, so by the time I was 6, the 80's came along and boy, were they fun!! I sometimes long for those days. Too bad today's kids don't have the Saturday mornings we did!

  • @IncHulkLover Yeah man, I don't know if it's because turning 37 has sparked some mid life crisis, but I find myself longing for those days too. They were the happiest of my life. I think I need one of those '80's time machines to come take me home. lol

  • @Jonwood74 so true, i remember in the 90s there was cartoon network, jetix, fox kids, nickelodeon and they put god cartoons every day, now you have to buy hole fuckin package and some extra and you still watch shit, but not only kabel tv, it was also on my national Croatia programs.....

  • "... y sus amazónicos amigos"

  • This intro is the stuff of legend, and coming from a die-hard Marvel Comics fan, that means a lot.

  • Do they sell the complete set of these on DVD?

  • @Jonwood74 They have it available to stream on Netflix.

  • 0:54 - 1:02 My favorite part of the song.... *_*

  • @AMTModollas hey me too.gotta love the trumpets

  • LOVED that SHOW

  • Epic break-down at 0:49

  • Dang, that is AWesome quality!!!!

  • Wish that they would finally get around to releasing this (and the Hulk toon from the same era) on DVD here in the US. The stumbling block was supposedly that Disney held the home video rights but Marvel has the character copyrights, and they couldn't reach an agreement for US distribution....but now Disney has owned Marvel outright for nearly two years, and still no sign of Amazing Friends on Region 1 DVD (though it will supposedly be available for streaming on Netflix soon).

  • i like how iceman took out that giant fire guy with one finger

  • @TheMikx29 The giant broke down after Iceman gave him the finger.

  • Loved this show. Firestar was hot. No Pun intended.

  • @xOmniCloudx Why not? You're right, though.

  • @xOmniCloudx if she was real i would turn straight for her :)

  • @malhuto If she was real I would get EVEN straighter for her :)

  • Does anyone know if I can find the soundtrack to this series? The instrumental songs in the back of each episode ARE AMAZING (no pun intended)

  • Remember when you used to love getting up on Saturday mornings with the biggest bowl of Froot Loops and sit in front of your floor model TV from sun up until noon! Cartoons back in the day were the best!

  • spiderman and xmen very friendships

  • This was really crap.

  • Between Transformers, GI Joe, Jem, & all the Marvel stuff, I think Sunbow produced the best cartoons of the 80s.

  • @ebbowman I agree with you 100%

  • Did anyone other than me hate the fact that NBC got rid of "The Incredible Hulk" and replaced it with back-to-back episodes of "Spiderman and His Amazing Friends?" Don't get me wrong, I loved both episodes, but saturday mornings didn't feel complete without "The Incredible Hulk" along side with Spiderman... Well... At least Mr. T was good. :D

  • I ain't gun'a lie...Firestar (Angelica Jones) was hot since my childhood lol

  • Used to wake up early every Saturday to see this. My favorite.

  • lol, you'd think he'd notice the giant monster earlier

  • jejeje, love the Hulk poster in their hideout

  • I used to love this cartoon. This is what started my love for superheroes.

  • Why did they need to transform the apt. If all they needed was iceman to point his finger at the fire creature to beat him?

  • love it!

  • This brings back good memories. I'm didn't notice as a kid Firestar had a fat pussy.......I'm just sayin.

  • This makes me so happy.

  • what year was this cartoon made?

  • Why is the title in the beginning SO DAMN BIG? XD

  • Dr Doom's repulsors sound exactly like the lasers of a BSG Colonial Viper. I'm just saying what we're all thinking.

  • @xjames118 Sounds of the 80s, maaan.... Ever notice how everytime we see a shot of a mountain or nature scene on TV there's always the "Eagle Scream Sound Effect?" Pay attention -- you hear it at least once an hour in TV world.

  • @mexicandonkeyshow I'll watch for that. I've certainly noticed the 'rusty hinge' sound effect which has been knocking around since the seventies, and which you still hear every now and again in, say, Prison Break or Shutter Island. Lazy.

  • Dr. Doom, green goblin and red skull best villians all-time after D. vader......

  • Spiderman has only two friends?I feel sorry for him :(

  • @zastonecesda Don't be! They are _amazing_ friends! ;-D

  • I remember seeing this back in my childhood

  • Why Spiderman work alone these days

  • @NIDORAX

    Budget cuts...

  • Ha, Peter is a Hulk fanboy

  • funny how even tho he had the crappest power, spidey was bossing shit

  • gotta love that song

  • Spiderman And His Amazing Friends can be seen on Disney XD Sunday and Monday during late night

  • awwwww yeah

  • honestly i've never heard of firestar

  • @jonykakuyo She's still around in the Marvel Universe, just rarely seen.

  • I had a VHS tape of this show, can't believe i recorded the 94 spider-man on the tape when i was a kid :(

  • they fried Green goblin

  • Howard Finkel (WWE ring announcer) did the voiceover for this.

  • y does firestar looks like gwen stacy and MJW only with a different color hair?

  • thumbs up who likes this cartoon

  • This show defined Saturday morning cartoons for me!

  • They should've included Spiderwomen as well

  • Music in this is fantastic

  • spiderman... he ditches new york to hang with his homies ice man and firestar who also ditch there responsibilities, thats how the g's do it

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • this was the best version of spiderman on telly!! love the theme tune..

  • im sampling this beat! good upload classic cartoon! way befor my time but still love it

  • ice man 's voice reminds me of fred form scooby doo

  • @swordofkings343434 That's because it's Frank Welker, who voiced Freddie from Scooby Doo. Mr. Welker's been in a lot of animated programming.

  • @RunsWithWeasels Megatron, Dr. Claw, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (Epic Mickey)

  • @swordofkings343434 Yeah it does sound the same dont it ? I wonder if it was the same voice actor!....*goes to check google*

  • It's hard to watch to this while trying not to laugh because I keep thinking of Whiteshaft06's version

  • big props to Johnny Douglas who composed & conducted all the music for Spiderman & his Amazing Friends and all of the other best cartoon series such as Transformers, Dungeons & Dragons & Incredible Hulk...

  • @SteveSpent I LOVE a lot of Johnny Douglas's music from those series. I just wish there was a soundtrack with all of the various full pieces he did for the shows. I would especially love to get the full version of the "Love Theme", played when Firestar was in love with Sunfire, and at the end of the "X-Men Adventure" ep when she laments over getting over Nathan. I know his Dungeons & Dragons theme is available, but nothing else, unfortunately.

  • quality!!!

  • I JUST GOT A HARD-ON!!!!!!!

  • Why do I think of Pink Floyd when I watch this ?

    The feeling is awesome !??!

  • I'm kind of glad they couldn't get the rights to Human Torch. Firestar is a cool character...or should that be hot? XD

  • It's thanks to this show that we have Dan Gilvezan as Spider-Man 2099 in Shattered Dimensions and Firestar in Ultimate. :)

  • I just feel sorry for the kids of this new generation, not being able to see these awesome shows on the tv like when we were little.

  • i find it weird that everytime i want to watch this show on tv, the episode alway has to do with video man.

  • I remember this, X men, and Super Friends. god Bless you for making my day

  • My all time favorite saturday morning cartoon.

  • @tedm1975 Me too!

  • I watched this as a kid too... but I'm not that old. They give this a lot. They're still giving reruns of it.

  • I LOVE THIS CARTOON

  • Holy moly. I feel old. I LOVED THIS when I was a boy. Its so old school.

  • One of my all time favorites!! Thanks for sharing!

  • You never get too old to watch these legendary cartoons!

  • @olli316 amen to that!

  • I thought I was a kid again just watchin

  • Always came on at the end of the Saturday morning run, so it kept getting pre-empted by sports!

  • @RadarKat73080 On our NBC affiliate,WLBZ out of Bangor,Maine, they didn`t broadcast it for that very reason and either aired their local news or some other random program.

  • Thanks for the vid. Sitting in front of the tube on Sat mornings with my brother...those were the days. We never missed this one. The best!

  • @DirRudy thanks for uploading

  • @DirkCourage21 Me too! Can't beat 80's cartoons. These youngstas missed out on a lot!

  • This could actually make a decent movie.

  • Dr. Doom cracks me up everytime

  • This is the music I usually associate with Spider-man.

  • @MrColuber

Me too. :) Its a decent song too :p

  • wos it in the 70ties or 80ties or even earlier ?

  • Ahhh! the cartoons of the (early) '80's! What memories. I remember watching this on Saturday mornings ('81-'84?). LOL, then, Sunday morning, my friends and I at church would talk about the cartoon. It's funny, as a children we wish we were adults. Now, as adults, we wish we could be carefree kids again, just for a day.

  • blockbuster had a copy of this when i was little and i would always rent it. it was the episode with the beetle guy.

  • i remember watchin this on fox kids at 11 am on saturday morning

  • @DirRudy This is great! I watched this on tv when I was a kid. Angelica Jones(firestar) and Bobby (iceman) make a nice couple don't they? Now Peter Parker (spiderman) needs to find someone to be with him. This was a really good cartoon. I liked when they went up against Dr. Octupuss.

  • @DirRudy nah dude....Thanks to you to let us watch this old memories........by uploading it

  • @DirRudy Thanks for uploading man! this brings back childhood memories... :]

  • Fire Star she is one hot lady I suppose she could be Marvels answer to Wonder Woman but then Spider Woman could be the Marvel eqivalant to Wonder Woman

  • Oh the amazing time I had watching this!! Thank You!
