Theoretically, they clearly own the land they are on as they have clearly homesteaded it. It would be theft to take that land from them by force. However, they don't own the surrounding jungle, and if they're the only people who want to live a primitive jungle lifestyle (which requires additional land they have not homesteaded, transformed, cultivated, made consumable, mixed with their labor, etc), then they're basically out of luck.

There was something many years ago where someone discovered a tribe of people who had never had contact with the outside world, just over the hill from other people. Then a reporter went there one day unannounced and saw them walking around in modern clothes. So much for that discovery. So I'm skeptical.
