Thanks for the reply. I don't know about the Legos alone costing a grand but I can see in total plus time it coul dexceed that. Do you at least have any advice or plans for the pistons and motors, etc. that you used on this? it might be cool to convert a Bruder and it would be awesome to outfit the Loadmaster I have with better functions.
Hey Gloom! How much to build one of these for me? This kicks the Loadmaster's ass! I'm old enough to have have had two Loadmasters as a kid and it was the coolest toy I ever had. I have one now from Ebay a few years back and have been tweaking it a little. It works but not 100%. I would pay for one of these if you built this one!
The problem is that I seriously doubt that anyone would be paying enough to make it worth while for me. I mean the lego pieces alone would probably cost at least a thousand dollars. Then comes the metal parts and the cylinders, and the building time. For me to priorotize to spend so many hours building a copy of this truck it would take a big amount of money.. Sorry..
It's a custom made lego model & a very good one at that so if anyone wants one they've gotta make it themseleves....as a kid I always found it hard to build an RL with legos since the bricks just didn't contain the right shapes, especially for the hopper.
Lego really needs to release a model of this type and the dumpster dumper type of garbage truck in their Technic line. They have a dumpster dumper right now in their licensed Toy Story line.
I guess you are reffering to the garbage truck type commonly called "front loader" which lifts the dumpster over the cab and empties it in a hopper on top of the body.
I have seen the lego set you are talking about. It looks ok i guess but there is no packer plate in the body and the arms looks really bad in my opinion. =)
@Kpilot786457 It is a website. Just search google for Bricklink and you will find it. (I can't write the complete adress here since youtube doesn't allow it.)
bro, quick question how did you weld that little cube onto the hydro? looks very cool. Idk what I should do with my hydros, I really dont wanna make a whole in the cylinder u know
how much would it cost to build one of those? Lego had this thing you can create your own kits online and order it. If I knew which pieces I needed then ordered all the other stuff.. wonder what that would cost me..
are you serious!?!?!?!? thats amazing like brilliant man.... you should really think about going into auto trades and designining models have you thought of that?
Oh that's sweet

cool is that all LEGO cos it looks like metal on the inside?
Minifig666 2 years ago
It looks like you are right but if you look, the metal fades to yellow so it could be a bunch of legos painted to look metal

how much would u be willing? anyway i have built the x lift thing so instead of using an expensive hydrolic ill show u the extender thing
heatran345 4 years ago
That is totally brilliant!! I'd buy one off you anyday! What does it run on?
Can it hold a good load and does the ejector plate work in the same way as a real truck?
EXCELLENT WORK!
drumajo 4 years ago
Thanx a lot!!
It runs on ordinary batteries.
I have not built any working ejector plate! But it wouldn't be a problem. There are cylinders available that would work just fine.
The problem with selling these models is that they are very expensive to build! Thus a high selling price. But If the price was right... maybe ;-)

I don't think you can get all the pieces from there, and if you could, it would be very expensive.
