Hi! great Job man! i can see you are a fan from the bbq pit boys ;-) i also and i done that in the same style last weekend, its very funny to wait with friends 3 hours till the rips are ready, we drink some beer and...
Nice Video and have a fine day! best regards from Austria
How well does it hold temp? do you ever have a big drop in temp when you open the lid? Want one of these soooo bad, saving up week by week and hopefully I'll have one soon.
@FOSICKLIKEWHA1 Yes. The temp drops big time. It picks up the temp quickly. In the winter I put a few paving stones in the bottom of the unit which holds the heat better and brings the temp back faster. I take them out in the summer. I have also added a braded fibre glass gasket to the opening. This seems to make a big difference. I got the little tex. Should have got the Tex. Get the bigger unit if yoy can.
Great job, thanks for sharing. I am thinking about getting a smoker right now I have a webber grill which I love. Can you do Steaks right on that traeger, does it get hot enough to sear em?
@saspgmer Have fun. I can tell you honestly that I have not cooked one meal in my kitchen oven in over a year. I use the Traeger as an oven. Im not kidding! Have not used the over in over a year.
I can't help with the husband but for low and slow the Traeger rules. The green egg is great but the set and forget temp on the Traeger is second to none. You should take over the BBQ job. You can't mess up with the Traeger!
looks delicious. Gotta love ribs. But it's pronounced Tray-ger. Will a long A. Please keep posting videos - you are doing all of us backyard cooks a favor. Thanks!
Nice looking ribs. I love my Traeger grill, I have the professional so my cooking surface is smaller than yours. I can get 3 racks of ribs on mine, I bbq them at a lower temp, baste every 30 minutes. They take about 5 to 6 hours for fall off the bone awesomeness.
Is this a gas grill?
