  • just another young bluesy pop star ...meh.

  • @KEPHALLE Who is like this? seriously how could you say that this guy has actually musical talent he can play the shit out of the guitar and hes a damn good singer which is a hell of a lot more than i can say for any pop star not only that pop is short for popular like in you tube terms a million views this is his most watched video at 40,000 you don't know what you're talking about.

  • @wicksanu so just because this vid has 40k+ clicks i should change my mind? no way, i know what i'm talking about because that's my opinion, an i mean what i say. don't try to indoctrinate me please....

  • he is amazing.

  • Very talented young man in his own right, and far from being just a Stevie Ray clone. He has put alot of time and effort in learning from some great artists, including SRV and Alan Haynes and there is nothing wrong with that. Great to see young blues talent of this standard coming though.

  • I saw this guy live opening for Jeff Beck very excellent showman and guitar player.

Jeff says"As for opener, 20-year-old Texas blues guitar prodigy Tyler Bryant, he’s got a long way to go before he’s considered even a cherub. Talented, true, the solo “living room jam” he put on was skilful, but offered little different from the endless parade of “next Stevie Rays” the world has been treated to over the past two decades — not a false prophet, but neither the next coming."

  • @CapnCrossbones Jeff didn't say that. That's a review from someone at the Calgary Herald. The entire review was copy and pasted from their review to the News section on Jeff's website.

  • @andymerrick damn I am surprised you caught that and where I cut pasted it from.

If Jeff Beck did not agree I am sure he would not post it on his site. I thought the young fella was awesome. My mistake was putting "Jeff says" my bad. If you did not point that out I don't think I would have caught on tbh. Cheers :)

  • @andymerrick I have know Tyler and have watched him for awhile. Jeff Beck had nothing but great things to say about Tyler and how amazed he was with the style Tyler has. A style of his own. He killed it almost every night opening up for Jeff. Jeff even recognized for that. Opening for a legend and the crowd walked away surprised to here the new up and comer. Opinions will always be opinions nothing more. Everyone has their own but most would agree that he is going to be a star. Great guy too.

  • he is my best friends cuz

  • This kid is Amazing!!.. I seen him last night at the Center in the Square in Kitchener..Opened for Jeff Beck... Great show!!!!.. Blew the audience away.. !!! Well worth the money:) I loved it when Jeff called him back on stage to join in on an encore song.. wicked playing!!

  • He makes me think of Mark Farner of grand funk railroad.

    F**k yeah talent for a change !

  • Opening for Jeff Beck tomorrow (Oct. 18, 2011) at Massey Hall, Toronto!

    Yay!

  • For those who play: the chords for the chorus are E, B, F#

  • he should play jeff buckley in the film not idiot reeve carney

  • his 'look' doesn't fit his style but damn that boy can play

  • Awesome live! Seeing him again tonight in Indy.

  • Damn he is so good...

  • Can't wait to see Tyler on Halloween with Jeff Beck: A legend, and a future legend.

  • The boy can play the hell out of guitar no doubt, but he needs a few years of cigarettes and whiskey for a voice to match it....'ya know like Stevie.

  • I'm jealous. He's wayy better than me. This dude is badass.

  • That was awesome.

  • yow ... he's mighty mighty on the strings ... plays with that almost threatening fiercity, it's so pure, knows his instrument well, and how wonderful to see him playin in such a comfy setting ... that last twizzle - priceless. thank you for posting ; )

  • he sorta looks like reeve carney..

  • Love this song too! GREAT vibe!

  • Haircut? Ohh how we judge WTF

  • caraca, o violão dele deve terminar todo desafinado neh?! rsrsrsr

  • Technically, he's in open g flat. Or f sharp. Haha just tune a half step down and then tune to open g accordingly.

  • I'm just discovering your stuff for the first time tonight, and I'm blown out by it. Thank god there are still young artists that still love making organic music.

  • Just discovered Tyler Bryant and am now listening to all I can find.

  • haha thats my cousin (:

  • :)

  • I'm a beginner at guitar and I came to this video again to try learn it. and I just looked at it and was like .................. oh.

  • @JordiieDrummer He's probably in drop D tuning. If you can learn how to use a slide it probably wouldn't be that hard. Then again I have no idea. I've never used a slide out of 5 years of playing. lol. Try learning some Beatles.

  • @jonahtran1 actually thats open G

  • @SungguhMenegangkan I've never understood the purpose of playing in different tunings. I mean other than obviously getting a different sound, is it supposed to make playing easier or reaching the right notes easier?

  • @jonahtran1 it depends on the songwriter actually but what you say is correct, its to get a different sound, also fingerpicking guitarists likes it because it makes note reaching easier, and it has a far more open sound to it as to standard tuning...and well to play slide, you gotta play in an open tuning because they can only use single note when they use the slide right? but when they tune it to open tuning, they can strum all the string, because the guitar already has a standard note to it.

  • @jonahtran1 It opens up the possibility of different chord formations that would be impossible in standard tuning. Tune your guitar to open E, then finger what would normally be an E chord and you'll hear the difference. That chord would be physically impossible in standard tuning. Try tuning in DADGAD and a whole new world opens up. It's all about experimentation and self expression.

  • I knew this guy before he got famous. We used to hang out in paris texas. He played in a band with my step dad, "George Johnson" called "the Blues Buddies"

  • and where's that video where he's playin a electric version of this song (with that bassist who looks like Andy Timmons)?

  • He's a great guitar player but that doesn't justify his haircut.

  • dude this is the best new artist ive found in a long time this is literally the first song i heard and im speechless. keep it up man this is freakin awesome

  • FIRE FIRE FIRE !!! PASSION TRUE F...BLUES MAN UVE GOT IT NEVER CHANGE YOUR STYLE .

  • how can i get this guys stuff preferable d-load it i dont mind paying at all..i hope he has alot of acoustic stuff like this..can anyone suggest

    any other artist like this

  • sounds like the singer from caged elephants

  • love Tyler Dow Bryant. had his first blues album "born in texas" its a great album. his new modern blues/rock tunes are awesome!....but just a little advice for the camera guy..maybe you should focus a little more on still shots every now and then. the camera moving around constantly was just a bit annoying. If you want to get different shots, i'd recommend you use more than one camera.

  • I would love to catch this kid's live show! He's gonna be going places...

  • Hell Yeah!!!.

This is very cool, I love it!!!.

    5*s.

    Leighton.
