  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • They could have got a hammond B3 they were aroud in the 70s

  • Very true, however, if you know the history of the Hammond Organ, it was around this time that the "new" hammond sound had come out. Hammond was doing everything they could to get these organs into the ears of the world. That sounds like an H-100, this was the dawn of the "modern organ"

  • Holy smoke! Never seen James lookin so cool...preachers today should be wearin that fringed number...today so bland

  • that was truly shirley

  • That is Shirley she has been to my church in north carolina. She did not live far from my hometown.

  • Where In north Carolina are you from???

  • no, that`s definitely not Shirley Caesar. Shirley would have been much younger and much smaller than that in 1972

  • wonderful...

  • great camera work!

  • did you hear that soprano at 4:04

  • Lord Yes!! Didnt She hit That Note

  • yeah she killed that note I wish we had more singer now like they had then

  • YES YES YES!!!

  • SANG LORETTA!!!!

  • OMG! That's Marvin Yancy at 5:01, with the afro, sitting at a keyboard, I think. Natalie Cole's ex-husband, who co-wrote most of her '70s hits. This is before they were married and he became a Pastor I assume. Wow!

  • He was always a Pastor but yeah that looks like him! They divorced because of her drug habit.

  • I wonder How many people are in this choir?

  • 7:37 . . . is that Condoleezza Rice ?

  • This can get you saved faster then todays gospel singers.

  • i really like this song

  • You can say what you want about who the King and Queen of Gospel are....but When Loretta took the mike, the spirit went up in the place. Good God almighty. If it took Albertina 3 minutes, it took Loretta 30 seconds. At least thats what I see on the video. I would like to see more post of her. All of her singing on Youtube is old footage.

  • these are indeed legends of the gospel...add to them Rev. Frank Williams. i just got my praise on as I viewed the video.

  • Albertina worked that song in less than 3 minutes! LOL!! She came for business then she exited the stage. She dont play!!!

  • LoL I know that's right!! LoL

  • Her part was hot all by itself. James added some more fuel to the flame...

  • ladies and Gentlemen....The True! King&Queen Of Gospel James Cleveland & Albertina Walker

  • when they say king they mean Jesus

  • Yes I know that, Im just Stating 2pioneers in Gospel Music the King&Queen Of GOSPEL Albertina W.& Rev.James C., Just giving honor to whom Honor is DUE!!!

  • You are so right njharris27, people don't do that no more. And, you better not try! They will quickly tell you that you are out of order. It's sad....

I miss this type of letting the Lord have HIS WAY type of church! Go Loretta and Albertina!

  • we do this kind of stuff at my church

  • Well, believe it or not, I just bought the soundtrack online a few days ago. I would like to get the video, too.

  • Where can I get the video, and where can I get the album? I like classic stuff like this-just because it reminds me of what I have been through to make it to where I am now. Glory!!! God is Good!

  • Ms. Walker's part was way too short. The rest of it is...a fever.

  • i'll agree with you

  • Albertina walkers part is always to short

  • you are so rite

  • This was part of the Save the Children album that was put out by Motown in 1973. This song was cut and the only portion on the album is James Cleveland talking to Marvin Yancey on the piano and Mickey on the organ and them playing the shouting music.

  • ummm, nope that wasnt Shirley Caesar. This was the Push Expo concert for 1972. James was the special guest and the Push Expo choir was made up in part by a lot of members from Fellowship Baptist Church (hence, Loretta Oliver is singing in the choir and Roy Mickey Warren is on the organ).

  • The Queen of Gospel Albertina Walker & Loretta Oliver are Matchless on this video.

  • Was that Shirley @ 2:18...

  • Yep that was her. This was a program held by Rev Cleveland back in '72. I wonder if she sung on the telathon too? But that was her. She look like she couldn't get with the service, like she had that look on her face like they were fake or something, but anyway, I wish Rev. Cleveland was playing the piano on this one, but it was good to see Mickey. I wonder what he's up to since Rev. Cleveland's demise and passing.......

  • I don't think that was her at all, I remeber this and Shirley made an appearence can't recall if she sang or not(ask the poster) but her hair and outfit are totally diffrent from waht I recall.
