since Pres. Obama is so outraged over "faux" homophobia in [the] Black community & Black churches, why does he so ardently seek and assume their electoral support on every opportunity ? Since it outrages him so, perhaps in order to allow him to maintain his character & integrity, the "Black Community" should offer it's anti-war, homophobic support to a more reasonable and balanced candidate come 2012- just a very short time from now ! Is there any other group he snubs more than Blacks ??
You can barely find a church where the music speaks to your soul and the Holy Spirit shows up and shows out AND IT'S REAL AND NOT PUTTING ON A FASHION SHOW!!!
first of all thank you, thank you so much. Just after the Rev Cleveland came Cannonball Adderley with Country Preacher, I don't suppose you have the footage?
@lilprophethenry The is Lorretta Oliver of the infamous Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago founded by the legenday Rev. Clay Evans!!!!! She is still there are there are numerous clips of her singing with them here on YouTube....search them and check her out....she is STILL a beast...LOL!!!!!!!
Why does Rev. Cleveland call Marvin Yancy "BOY" twice!! HAHAHAHAHA I guess Marvin Yancy presented a threat , and J. Cleveland had to keep him in his place! FUUNNNY! Also I don't think they knew what he spelled at the end when spelled D..A..N..C..E! Got to love it !!
God Bless whoever put this on here! Couldn't nobody do it better than Rev. Cleveland. Albertina Walker in the day? Whoo! Then Loretta Oliver snatch the song up! This is priceless footage. Pass me my tambourine. Hey!
Yes she is her name is Lorreta Oliver she still sing at Fellowship Missonary Baptist Church where Rev Clay Evans is the founder. Key in her name in the search engine even in her 70s she still got it. Dont forget to key in Vernon Oliver Price Lorreta's sister.
Yes. Loretta Oliver is still singing. She's been a member of Rev Clay Evan's church in Chicago for many yrs. If you type her name into youtube, youll find several of her videos. Her and her sister Vernon Oliver Price are some annointed singers.
Very true, however, if you know the history of the Hammond Organ, it was around this time that the "new" hammond sound had come out. Hammond was doing everything they could to get these organs into the ears of the world. That sounds like an H-100, this was the dawn of the "modern organ"
Thats is Loretta Oliver....Such a Power Alto.... She does very well, even at her present age on "Walking up the Kings Highway." She really slangin that afro; that aint nothing but the spirit....
OMG! That's Marvin Yancy at 5:01, with the afro, sitting at a keyboard, I think. Natalie Cole's ex-husband, who co-wrote most of her '70s hits. This is before they were married and he became a Pastor I assume. Wow!
You can say what you want about who the King and Queen of Gospel are....but When Loretta took the mike, the spirit went up in the place. Good God almighty.
