I've made up my mind. Freshman year of college, going with my buddies to see America. I live in Pennsylvania, so there's not much here to see. Grandfather mountain ( the mountain in the video) the road in the desert, all of those things I'm going to see. I'm tired of sitting here on my iPod watching videos like these and thinking geese I wish I could go there. Well, I am. And when I do find these things, when I do, I'm just gonna sit in the tall grass and stare in amazement at the creatio
its moments like this we forget to stop and just enjoy the beauty in this world i would give up everything to have a moment like on 1:06 watching that beautiful sunset on a boat. i hope one day i can have that moment.
Amazing amazing amazing scene. I remember the first time I watched this movie. Right after this video ends... "You died on a Saturday morning..." I just about lost it.
@mattitude9000 No sir i have not! Going through this movie is something else. but watching this scene right here... watching makes me glad i watched the whole thing. It puts it all together.
I don't suppose anyone knows what the music is that plays during this? It might not have it's own clip it lasts for such a short time but like all great soundtracks it goes deep within you, and it is part of the reason this is my favourite scene from any movie.
I cannot possibly explain my love for this end of this scene. It brings me to an emotional point that I can't describe. After he says, 'You were,' Jenny truly looks at him for the very first time....understanding the depth of his love for her. Magical.
This is where you no longer consider it a movie - it's a piece of art. I honestly think this film should be taught in textbooks the same way Shakespeare is.
@Seraph825 I agree. If you have ever read the book, it is much more humorous and less beautiful than the movie was. For that, I am glad they decided to make a serious movie (Of course witrh some comic relief).
The thing is...yeah she loved Forrest. No doubt, but...I think she came home to him because she knew..he was financially secure, and she was dying. It was'nt her she was thinking of, it was little Forrest.
@Abobojo You mean it wasn't "him". Yeah..Shitty isnt it? but such is life. Relationships, all they ever are is a manipulative game and the one who loves the other the most is always unfailingly on the losing end
@aaronmyers1982 Aaron, I don't know if you're a boy or girl, but, for such a young person, you sure have an accurate picture of 'what love is' (sorry, had to pull a quote from Forrest). Love IS a never-ending manipulative game of 'I'm more needy than you' and 'My problems are more important than yours' and 'What have you done for me, lately?' I searched my whole life to find THE ONE PERSON, who was the opposite of that; and once we got married and began a family, everything changed. Game on!
@cjw9five5 She really did love him. She wasn't lying. She'd of even passed a lie detector test. But she didnt love him for him. She loved him for what he was doing for her. And that's all love really is. The belief that love is a selfless thing is the illusion people fall for, simply becasue they don't understand it. All emotions, including love, evolved to ensure your OWN survival. Love is just there to ensure you value the people and things that help YOU survive. Its subconscious manipulation
