  • I've never seen this video before! Great stuff, bet Jimbob and Fruity had a right laugh making this.

  • I love carter but probably the only person in Sunderland that does!!

Can`t believe crap get 50million plus views and this only gets a few thousand!

  • a soul fan of 30+ years, a lover of 'original music'......CARTERS' VERSION OF THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME!

  • Best version of this song by far, saw them live back in the early 90's exellent.

  • @Andiecatie I entirely concur! His voice is just so damn expressive!

  • for my nephew david never forgotten.

  • Great song, great band

  • How much do i LOVE this song??! Is it wrong to say I find Jimbob pretty tasty in that suit of armour...? :)

  • The best punk song ever..

  • best band ever bar none ,long live carter.

  • Kinkinwhites - Nov 13th+14th Live in London

Willowscat1 - my thoughts exactly but only with Ian Dury reading Cervantes words over the coda - "I do not think they asked why they were dying but why they had lived."

  • hay way u take my post away.

one of the best band for me

    gr8 cover song

  • COME BACK CARTER.... PLEASE!!!!

  • I swear this is what I want played at my funeral, this version right here! :D Um, hope of course that it will be many years from now!

  • At the start of tonight's telecast of the Ashes this song was used very prominently. Not sure if it is the Australians or the English who are meant to be dreaming.

  • The poms of course, but they pulled it off!

  • This is my fave version of this song. Whatever happened to old Jim Bob and Fruitbat? The world just ain't the same any more without 'em.

  • Merci Jacques Brel :-)

  • Plezzzz focus on the band/song the rest is fucking shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song took me out of trouble giving motivation whenever i needed some.

its the first time i need it...and now i realize the video is based on my favorite book. don quijote de la mancha, probably the most superb thing to come out of spanish literature. awesome..

  • TOTALLY UNDERRATED!

  • Well said m8 ....... should have been much bigger than they actually were, but i think its not what the boys wanted, they weren't in it for the fame or money. At least thats what i like to think .... they weren't sell outs

  • Yeah agree m8, seen them at the Royal Court in Liverpool just after the Smash Hits thing with Schofield.....best concert I have ever seen, and pure class lads too!

  • great band, seen them a few times at fibbers in york and leeds uni.unforgetable tunes, one of those bands that should have been bigger, bit like shed seven under rated to the masses.

  • cater usm, awesome, remember watchin em at manchester polytechnic wen they wer nobody's. this is 1 of teir best

  • I got my young sister to crimp my finge so that I might look like Jimbob, my finge only just met my eyebrows!

  • Does anyone know where i can find Carters version of Ruby Tuesday???...looked everywhere and cant find it.

Also Carter have a gig coming up in November in Birmingham (not sure how true it is but apparently EMF are going to support them, which might be a bit tricky as the lead singer died in 2001)

  • "After the Watershead"

  • Actually it was bassist Zac Foley who died (the one who could infamously fit a whole orange under his foreskin). James Atkin is still alive and kicking and Zac's been replaced by the basist from PWEI.

  • Great band. Beautiful song...

  • Bit of a sad comment to make, but I'm going out to this song... "When I'm laid to my rest..." The perfect exit... not now obviously... gotta dig Carter some more yet!

  • me to and i listern to hip hop.....trust,what a way to go.see you there bro.

  • God ... we need to bring back the 1990's ...

    Great music and great times...

  • ENGLAND FC COME ON 2010!

  • I remember seeing them in Belfast in the year this album was released. They were a fantastic live experience! I had my tongue down a fat goth girls throat when this came on. She thought i looked like kurt cobain, but i clearly dont because i'm dark with brown hair, and kurt was pasty white with blonde hair.Didn't mind though, being told that in those days was pretty cool!!

  • Married with kids and a dog?

  • Very nice version of "The impossible dream".

  • Worthy of a 5 star rating!

  • A David Lean epic..amazing stuff

  • A David Lean epic..amazing stuff

  • great video, did David Lean direct it?

  • great video, did David Lean direct it?

  • Is that Siouxsie or the chick from Cranes?

  • PET SHOP BOYS?????????

DONT SEE THE COMPARISON SAVE FOR A COVER VERSION!

    (better ask gordon the gofer,)

  • seen theese guys in Glasgow in September and they blew me away. Fantasticaly loud and heavy. Gutted I'll only ever see them once.

  • It could be worse. I had a ticket for that night and I was not allowed the day off work, even though I asked for it months in advance - as a co-worker was assaulted and could not do his shift.

  • they can hardly be called the 'indie pet shop boys', not so long ago they were a well-known and respected uk punk band; and the extraordinary video with a deep and hidden message and symbolism is anything but hilarious.. nontheless, thanx for posting it.

  • I was meant to see them come Saturday, buit I couldn't get the day off. Damn shame. :(

  • I tried to go too but just can't afford it. Oh and the fact that tickets are rare. Can't afford the travel costs either.

  • A fantastic song and a wonderful video.

  • I need to get the book.

  • I cant believe only 60 ppl watched this masterpiece...

  • LOL
