  • We listened to this record while growing up. Check out Skeeters Kentucky Babe on You Tube

  • Singing this in 8 grade girls choir now...just starting to learn it

  • Recorded in 1962. From thier DOT LP "Favorites"

  • My Mom, sister, and I sing this (with all the proper sliding in all the proper places, yes) It is tough, but singing harmonies is the best fun out there. We all want to be the Lennon Sisters. =] Or the Andrews Sisters. Or the Von-Trapps. ;)

  • Can we sing this song anymore. I remember singing it in choir in the 50s!

  • when i get smackdown vs raw 2012 im gonna create lauren from bgc6 and give her this as her theme entrance LOL!

  • This was on one of my niece's lullabies cassettes. They sound so wonderful. They could put a little one to sleep. YAWN! That was sweet. (:

  • This is the best version yet ,with all four!

  • I think this is just beautiful! Makes me happy to be from Kentucky :)

  • Very good song, and the Lennon Sisters harmonies were excellent. As wholesome as homemade chicken soup.

  • now this is the way it should be sung

  • Oh, so beautiful! The powerful harmonies at 1:27 and 1:42 just knock me out and give me chicken skin! The girls outdid themselves on this lovely song.

  • Spot on. I'm an aussie who has only heard this song for the first time.

    Gave me chicken skin too!

    This should be Kentucky's anthem.

  • They do so well on every song and this is no exception.

  • Nices girls and nices voices , i wasn't born, but good music, typical american one
