  • @seattleshortfilms They should write a book on it. Cause the wasteland is he.

  • @Vernon682 Better than the legion taking over.

  • @Phaileen001 Na. The worlds still fubar. Totally screwed. New Vegas is screwed up pretty badly. I admit the NCR ain't helping. But it sure as hell

  • 100% apocalipthic

  • But you also fail to realize that it is these first world lifestyles that will be the death of all of us. If the world had not progressed, and we had remained like the Natives of north and south america, living with the land instead of conquering it, then we would have been in a near perfect world.

  • @MrChubbyCats

yeah you're probably right but we've come so far that we can't go back. Now I'm just curious as to what will happen.

  • Best soundtrack on the game!

  • i stopped playing this game :( i wanna play it so much cuz its addicting.... i feel if i start playing again i wont stop...Thumbs up if u agreee

  • @RevolutionNo1 It doesn't exist.

  • Comment removed

  • point lookout- when u first arrive. u dont know what the hell to do. and then, she comes along. she sells guns, ammo, aid, apparel, misc, and good info. then, the smugglers come along, kill her while im ot exploring. i came too late. damn those basterds!

  • @ClearBEnyxbox Thats because blackhall sent them to kill her.

So I got the caps from him. Then blew him apart with my power fist.

  • Your walking though the ruins of the wasteland at night. your wearing a duster jacket and holding a hunting rifle, dogmeat is along with you. the ice cold wind blows in your face giving you chills, the radation flows in the air while you breathe, the moon shines on the alone vault dweller. The reflction of the moon shows the faith of every life that rest's in the hands of the Vault Dweller, Good or Evil..His/Her Mind Shall pick.....

  • This is one of my favorite exploration themes. I loved the chills that I would get when walking in an abandoned, destroyed town and :55 would start. Really gives off the desolate feeling of the game. Makes me think of a ghost town theme.

  • Run and find nothing in your path but the raiders and super mutants. the world of fallout....i know life would be extremely hard, but ive prepared for that my whole life

  • Fallout new vegas was OK but Fallout3 is awesome

  • Fallout 3 is the best game i have ever played

  • It would be interesting living in the post-apocalyptic world of nuclear devastation, but surviving the first few years would extremely difficult with the amountss of radiation in the air. You'd also have to survive the heat and the blast of the bombs going off first.

  • @InAGaddaDaVida29 not to mention the everyman for himself nature. robbing looting raping and pilaging will most likely kill more people than the bombs

  • The best i have play since the old old old x-box - ps days but im talking about any game from the past... This one is the best and every game that has come out since after 08 that is a RPG this is the only one i truly love and ALWAYS WILL...

Not even Fallout NV has had any thing on Fallout 3 at allll!!!!

    Long Live FALLOUT 3!!!!!!!

  • im waiting for fallout in 2012 xD

  • @NicolaScorpion7000 Maybe the original company is fighting for that to happen.

  • 2 people found themselves surrounded by albino radscorpions while strolling through the wastes...

  • Sometimes I wish the apocalypse WOULD happen.

All reverting back to the primal instincts of humanity, as opposed to the bullshit system set up right now?

    sign my ass up.

  • It's funny, because these comments are all based on an over romanticized version of the "apocalypse". Don't get me wrong, fallout 3 is a great game, but it isn't really an accurate representation of what the apocalypse would be like. It would be a living hell for everyone, compared to these first world lifestyles that we have today.

  • @seattleshortfilms it doesn't factor in lasting injury, thirst, hunger, disease and he real effects of radiation.

  • @seattleshortfilms Yes, videogames should be hellish and unfun.

  • @seattleshortfilms Fallout is a living hell, you constantly get shot at, all the food and water is poisonious, what little settlements there are constantly underattack.

  • @seattleshortfilms If getting radiation with everything you eat and drink and even by just walking around, being attacked by mutants and monsters and humans alike every single day and minute you walk around, nearly starving to death, looking at your country in ruins, your only family you got left is your dog, isn't a living hell, I don't know what is.

  • @SangheiliFemFatale I wanted to reply that to him but you did it for me =)) and don't forget that you have to sleep on old radiated junk mattresses and the only way to survive is killing the very monsters that threaten anyone's life. That guy must have played like 3 minutes of Fallout or played it on easy. Fallout 3 is the best game ever made!

  • @TheVoiceOfSerenity lol ya...I couldn't fit everything on there. I've played it on easy cuz I suck at games but even that made me think of a living hell. It's so awesome and once I finish it on easy, I think i'll go for a harder setting

  • @seattleshortfilms Well it's 200 hundred years after the bombs dropped, enough time developing things like towns etc.

  • @seattleshortfilms What's so inaccurate about it? Ruined cities, abandoned shelters, mutated hostile fauna, survivors settled in makeshift towns... at least it's not New Vegas, where you practically can't get radiation poisoning unless you really want it.

  • My favourite ambient music in FO3. I really like the part from 0:58 onwards

I wish I could hear this while wandering the Mojave...

  • @ChurKirby you do, in certain places, such as south of the crashed b-29 plane, by the boat

  • @ChurKirby I just turned off the fallout New vegas music and made a playlist of these tracks on my laptop connected to my stereo coz they are so much better to listen to when playing.

  • This song is scary as hell. It starts of weird and goes really eerie, and sounds like a horror song, then towards the end it sounds like pure despair... Like the sun glaring down on a battlefield filled with fresh corpses. This captures fallout. This music is one of the many definitions fear/desolation/despair...

  • In the night

    I am searcing, wandering

Creatures of the night are abound

I am the creature of the night

    I will silence them

(poem excerpt from Agent W's terminal)

  • FO3 has much better music than New Vegas

  • @BleakCabaler

I think it's because of the more serious tone Fallout 3 adopted, in contrast with New Vegas' comedic outlook which, yes, harks back to the original Fallouts, but pales in comparison with the turn Fallout 3 took - the turn I think the series should stick with.

  • @oryandymackie95 I hope not

  • "Can you hear....... it's beautiful" Last words spoken from Hale before detonation of 109 nukes.

  • i think its sooo funny how everybody is getting all philisophical and poetic on a comment page on youtube because of music on a game. is this what post- apocalyptic games do to the people of planet earth!?!??

  • Commenters down here are planning to blow up the world so that they can have they're little post-nuclear dream... Psychos... not

  • i love this music it makes me think of the future will it be like fallout will it all end like this someday and makes me think of my good old days with fallout :-)

  • yeah its pretty funny they will make a book of poems and poetry just by listening the musick

  • the nigh its always feelin in this game

nice soundtrack for a nice nite

  • 2 nintando wii fans disliked this

    THEY WILL BURN IN HELL

  • @stevengood12 So I can't be a fan of the Wii and be a fan of Fallout 3 at the same time?

    Chiiiiiildiiiiiish.

  • @CokeColaForTheWin Yeah, video game music does that to you sometimes

  • This song captures the feeling of lonliness very well.

  • Lolz, this track came on when I was in a graveyard fighting ghouls in point lookout, it sooooo suited it! xD

  • fallout 3 is the type of game where when you start you feel that its a living hell, but when you explore this nuclear eroded wasteland you feel that its a beautifully chilling place, theres no doubt, the wasteland is a dangerous place, but that danger makes it all the more beautiful...

  • if u think thats a lot of poems you should see fallout 3 explore 3

  • people who say this game is bad are dolts.

this game won game of the year 2008 i believe, so stfu f3 haters....

  • goddamn raiders.

"making your life as fuckin' miserable as possible-Three Dawg

ain't that the truth, this reminds me of evergreen mills.

  • It makes one feel like lonely and helpless in a desert.

  • New Vegas is not going to be made by Bethesda, but a company who created the first two fallout games.

  • now there are poets below, this is like a lullaby for me, calming

  • Quite possibly the best Music track from F3.

The sheer epic atmospheric feeling of a desolate world bathed in darkness this piece gives, is so exhilarating.

1:00 - 1:30 and 2:10 - End is just what makes this piece so powerful!

  • Fallout music is SO amazing!

  • This brings back memories...my first laser pistol. I got Fallout 3 when it came out, and i'm still playing it.

  • @cakeyguitar Hell yeah. I remember being shit scared of travvelling to Rivet City because it required me going through the metro. Amazing times.

I hope New Vegas has Co-op.

  • @Wolvenhybrid

Play Metro 2033. You WILL get tunnel fear after it.

  • @DevilDog016 I'd love to play Metro 2033, unfortunately I'm broke right now, but I'll try getting it on my LOVEFILM list. Is it like Fallout 3, much?

  • @Wolvenhybrid Fallout 3 is paradise compared to it. In Metro 2033, the last people on Earth are living in the Moscow Metro tunnels. There are no miniguns or lasers, just improvised weapons. You don't get to see the sunlight, ever. It's just underground. Pigs and mushrooms is all you can grow there; there is almost no light, ammo is scarce... The surface is destroyed and radiated, and mutants roam the city. Not only can they rip you apart, they can play with your mind.

    Tunnel fear is guaranteed.

  • @DevilDog016 I heard it was a very good game, in fact I'm watching the gameplay of it right now. Unfortunately I've heard things about the weapons not being all that good.

  • @Wolvenhybrid Wait for new vegas.

  • @BobCrane787 New Vegas is a game I'm extremely excited for. Hopefully they keep the same (or even better) music, this time. Unfortunately, I would like a game where I'm not a complete god as soon as I get to level 20. Metro 2033 seems to do that from what I know. It's a place where ammo is so scarce you need to use your blade frequently. So, I'll rent Metro 2033 then buy New Vegas at christmas time.

  • this remind me of when I first started playing the game... no where to go, wearing vault security outfit and equiped with a baseball bat... just wandering in the night in with no reason...

  • That little, swelling melody from 1:04 - 1:20 just gives me goosebumps every time I hear it in the wasteland

So lonely, so cold, so unforgiving. Never knowing what's over the next hill, but always pushing forwards. So...alien

  • You come upon a degenerate. The wasteland has nearly claimed him. Do you give him your precious water, knowing he'll soon be dead regardless?

  • Must be my favorite song from this game. I'm into this Inon Zur guy... he's making music from noises that would be annoying when heard as individual sounds.

  • Really wierd and creepy at night, i wish theres a parallel universe when u hear music in ur mid...

  • I know eh? it creeps me out while im playing the game and its night beyond no end, really bizzare...

  • its like the whispers of the dead

  • My dreams have only should me great sufferng and pain in the future. bombs, flames, and death is usually all i see. it seems as if all the things related to the apocalypse, which would be a coincedence to others, is some strange omen i cant interpret.... See you in the wasteland!

  • to me this is the creepiest tune, it reminds me of the haunted-spirits-vibe of fallout tactics soundtracks

i like that windy sound, carrying agonized memories across the wasteland, mmmmm, nice :D

  • I WANNA FUCKING PLAY THIS GAME AGAIN!

  • @darkelite6667 SAAAAME

  • the apocalypse is the only thing drastic and pure enough for people to finally realize there is more to life than hedonism and popularism.

  • @finaldestiny17 life is meaningless without hedonism

  • @finaldestiny17 But by having the war (in the game) they just created a new world that was much worse than the old one... If you're trying to create a new civilization you don't destroy the damn planet in the process, just the species that's causing the problem....

  • @finaldestiny17 Well said.

  • This one always comes on for me at night in the creepiest parts of the wasteland. Makes me shudder. I turn on the radio when it comes on. The juxtaposition between this and Stars and Stripes Forever is staggering.

  • herd this when i went to point lookout

  • this tune now plays in my head when i walk the streets, a calm tune

  • This tune is the best tune in the game, so interesting and atmospheric.

  • Fallout 3 is the reason multiplayer hasn't taken a complete stranglehold on the market - unfortunately its grip is slipping.

  • no clean water no food the heat the smell.. a smell of death that covers all

but its good to know you are free...

  • does anyone sometimes wish they could trade it all away for the apocalypse? you know trhose days where you are all alone and you stare at the sunset, just hoping to god it might happen? all your worries and stress, gone. jobs, school, payments, peoples bullsh*t, just plain gone.

  • yeh then i think....can i take a radscoprpion on with algebra and knowledge on how to operate a remote control...oh and survive a nuclear fallout..

  • Sounds good - I just have bo guns close to hand. But you know the Fallout 3 ethos - if you can't buy, steal or beg for it, build it yourself. Or something along those lines.

  • @Dlancelot2785 If you think a nuclear apocalypse would be the end of your worries and stress then you clearly don't have much to actually worry about. Are you lonely?

  • Aty times yes. to knowsomeone you truly love never notices you? it makes me feel all alone.i want the apocalypse and i kinda dont at the same time. this is like the song of the apoalypse, and it calls out to me. i can't do anything to go with it though, and im left with sadness. but i find comfort. dont worry about me, i'm stable.

  • @Dlancelot2785 Yes, I do know exactly what you mean and I apologize if I was harsh before. But erasing the past is not the way to deal with it. Instead, you should try to create the future like you would want it to be. Remember that the future isn't written yet, so you have all the power to write it yourself. Try to be the person you want to be. Clean slate and begin anew. Burn your bridges and build the next one.

  • @Dlancelot2785 Peoples bullshit would be gone like the rifle bullet implanted into their skull, hah. Hell yeah, I wish that an apocalypse would happen.

  • @Dlancelot2785 Only problem is your stress is replaced with the new stress of finding food, medical treatment if you get ill and not being killed by other people who want your supplies. Think i'd rather keep things as they are...

  • @Dlancelot2785 I would trade it all for the freedom aspect of it, how I would love to be able to just roam an abandoned landscape for a day, not too long though, eventually it would get to your head, but for the mutation and constant fight for life included, life would be ever worse.

  • @Dlancelot2785 You're spot on. I think of it all the time. This game is my idea of heaven.

  • @Dlancelot2785 Thats why I can wait till dream technology comes along, induce you into a lucid dream so it feels real but isn't....the gaming of the future

  • @Dlancelot2785 tbh... i think i would

  • @Dlancelot2785 im not going to lie but i have to the last part you said especially. Things would be simplified yet fucked up at the same time. All based on our survival skills hehe.

  • @Dlancelot2785 your completely right... and people like us, we could make it...

  • @Dlancelot2785 Suprisingly I think it would do the Human race a bit of good to suffer like this. Return to simpler times and maybe, just maybe, make people appreciate life and what really matters once again.

  • @Dlancelot2785 A part of me yes, but wishing so many deaths...

  • @Dlancelot2785 Yeh, but you wouldn't like it if it really happened though.

    ...Trust me.

  • @ChurKirby Trust you? As if you've witnessed it. How can we trust a dead man :P

  • @Dlancelot2785 Every day my friend,

  • @Dlancelot2785

Life becomes more dangerous, but less stressful.

  • @Dlancelot2785 you will not like it, if it happens you will wish that you're dead and wish it never happened. death, disease, hunger, etc living in a life and death situations almost everyday you're worries and stress is going to be even worse.

  • @Dlancelot2785

Hahahahahaha indeed but all of the returns sadly

  • @Dlancelot2785 And to replace all of that, you get hordes of mutant ants and scorpions.

    Enjoy.

  • @Dlancelot2785 Yeah i think about the apocalypse all the time. and some may think its both good and bad but i see it as both a good thing and a bad thing every man is either for himself or together + Major Racism no longer existing = Whites and Blacks together helping each other survive off whatever the wastes may bring = No more greed no more rich cause we will all be poor everyone is on the same boat together {GOOD} / And world without law a brutal dangerous world with diseases. {BAD}

  • @Dlancelot2785 Yeah I really do. I think I have a few guns some supplies and stuff of that sort. But what if I get a cut and it gets infected, or have an infected appendix, or even worse cancer. Then I think of all the suffering all the others would go through. I would be fine but it would almost make you feel guilty. But I know exactly what your talking about and thank you for posting, I was afraid I was the only one thinking this (but so are 126 others).

  • @Dlancelot2785 This song is so fitting for your comment. I see what you mean, and I understand, but we as people depend on so much. I don't mean to rain on your parade or make you look at reality, I'm merely giving my opinion. :) Sometimes I go outside and wonder what it would be like to have complete silence. Can you imagine that? Complete. Silence. It's cool, meaning nobody messing with you, no jobs deadlines, no bills, no cheating girlfriends, so on and so forth. ran out of characters!

  • @Dlancelot2785 But what if you broke your leg? Or worse....woke up to meningitis with no doctor? I'm just sayin'. I guess it would be cool for the first few weeks, but after a while, it would get lonesome. No friends, no family, no girlfriend. Abyways.Sorry to take your time bro. Just puttin my opinion out there. Take care! :-D

  • @Dlancelot2785

I think about it a lot. I think about an apocalyptic future way more than I really should.

  • @elsewhereify same here

  • @Dlancelot2785 Well it's a bit of a trade off really, yeah all the stresses and materialism of modern life would be gone. Plus people who are left wouldn't act like picky tossers because they'd have little to choose from, all the pampered, spoilt bastards/bitchs would be dead. Plus there would be no law or politicians to tell us what to do.

But you'd have no medical care and finding food would be a daily struggle, plus you wouldn't be able to buy toilet paper (just putting that out there.)

  • @Dlancelot2785

Same here(well I used to more as a teen).

Nowadays I got into Shin megami tensei and a chaos society seems much more likely.

Still sometimes despite trying to avoid the morbid thoughts I sometimes wish everything in the world would go away. Back in the day people lived to be 30 and they got more fulfillment out of life while we can live to be 80 and all we worry about is the future.

  • @Dlancelot2785

    Oh yeah forgot to explain.

A chaos reason is pretty much a society like fallout that lacks a government but can have various tribes and groups that live in their own way of things.

Chaos is ultimately a world not for the weak as you have to be strong to survive(no nanny state to take care of you).

  • I love the part at 1:10 to 1:18. It's so eerie...

  • This game RAWKS. Fallout 3 is the best Single Player game out there!

  • I'm tired and weary. Its night time now. Its been a long day of adventure. I cant see much but i have my V.A.T.S and my Pipboy light. I gotta find a place to sleep. Eventually..

  • Some of these EXPLORE songs gives me a creep..

  • i'd love to have a fallout 3 cd :)

  • unfortunately only the songs you hear on the radio in-game were released as a cd. Which is bs considering how great these explore songs and stuff are. I could be wrong though and there might be another actual cd of this stuff.

  • I love when this song is played while walking through the wasteland at night while the moon shines down! This song has some creepy twists that make you wanna lay your head on your pillow and dream to this song!

  • i dont like to travel at night :(

  • Yeah especially when its daytime and you got the sun glaring on your TV or PC monitor then it really sucks you can't see for crap!

  • Why? It is more exciting when travel at night.:) It is like you travel on day time, but you see less. if you wanna see enemy, use V.A.T.S

  • everything is harder, meaner, at night. i find it easier to wait.

  • It's like you go to sleep surrounded by the Wasteland, then dream of things how they were before the bombs fell--the ghosts of people and machines come to life as if nothing has happened, life going on as usual. Then at dawn, you are returned to the Wasteland...

  • My musical senses may not be the sharpest around, but this piece is giving me the chills! Plus I spent nearly half an hour just to find this particular one. It is _that_ good.

  • You walk amongst the ruins, confidently holding your laser rifle, your power armor's servomotors whirring as you tread along in the blood-stained streets, a human tank... You feel invincible...are you? No...Because I might be hidden, holding a sniper rifle - one shot, and you fall to the ground, warm blood flowing out of your helmet's shattered lens... Or I might be in a dark alley, suddenly darting and slashing through your helmet's rubber seal, and your jugular... Fear what you cannot see!

  • orly?

  • YA RLY.

  • hmmm do happen to roleplay, yes?

  • "Up there, that's a good fuckin' spot for a sniper. Keep an eye out."

  • @scott0link You tell em Jericho. xD

  • How can i get hold of the soundtrack on cd? anyone know?

  • dart gunning some raiders

  • This is the track where I become the feared one... this is my stealth killing track. I silence pistol a guy in one room, his partner comes into check on him-- but I am behind the door. I get my combat knife out and cut his throat, watching my actions and vengence spew out of his neck, and I'm gone before he can hit the floor. Stealth is an art, and it is almost hideously elegant....

Uh, yeah, and awesome track, and I like how it isn't as sad as the others- it's just badass menacing!

  • 0:58 is when it gets spooky

  • This one makes me sad and wistful.

  • This and Explore 7 are my favorites

  • this song have been playing in my head for 2 days already :) i've been walking around my town with that song playing in my head, I felt like i was in waistland :)

  • spooky. I love how it gets me on edge.

    WalrusInFlight is cool.

  • 1:09 - 1:20 fucking CHILLS ME to the bone.

  • this was the one i was looking for...

  • Ahhhh, I remember first days of playing when I was going early to Arefu during the night with this music :)

  • You dont know how long ive been looking for this song. It haunts me

  • In a way, Fallout 3 feels like a grungy, industrial-nuclear version of Alice in Wonderland to me. After living in the vault for sixteen years or so, and emerging into the wasteland, it's like a different dimension.

  • think it's creepy in the wasteland? go in the city ruins when it plays...it fees like you're being watched................

  • i always thought that was one fucking creepy song makes u feel as if ur in the wasteland and ur all alone with a gun and raiders every were waiting to jump out and kill u all very depressing

  • Enclave controls deATHCLAW

  • i get so depressed when playing this game but overall great game with great music

  • the wasteland is a depressive place, i totally agree with you on that one

  • I don't think anybody (except mabye some radical Muslim terrorist) can disagree with that statement.

  • yeah man this game is like awesome sad twisted beautiful and in ways we learn from it...whatever way you wanna see it!

  • Thank you... This is my favourite bit of music in the entire game. Makes me wish I had the version for the PC just so I can have the music. Impossible to find anywhere, unless I want the vintage stuff, which is pretty crap IMO.

  • when ever i hard that song i think im alone on the earth like fallout

  • Me two man.. Can't discripe the feeling!

  • this is good music, wtf are you talking about?

  • oh yea the song gets good @ 1:00

  • I find this track beautiful and spooky in the same time...

    5/5

  • Kinda like Gob :P

  • Well said!

  • Poor unloved Gob... I love him. Won't you?!
