@metalmonstermaniaman You mentioned Jesus not spasming out with the Joy of the Holy Spirit, but Jesus never spoke in tongues either, yet when the NEW FORM of the Holy Spirit was released at pentecost they spoke in different tongues and lanuages and were accused of being drunk. Jesus was never mentioned doing any of those things yet thats why the Holy Spirit was released to empower us to speak the word with boldness. Jesus mentioned that after he ascended he was sending a new form of the Spirit

Also, I'm pretty certain that this kind of behavior instills a certain kind of "fear" in non believers that would scare them away from wanting any part of that. There are things called DRUGS that can make them have the same experience in their eyes. The connection with the Holy Spirit is physical yes, but it's a more spiritual and emotional connection. Would you say that Jesus had the best connection in our history? Did you ever hear about him worshiping this way?

you are probably right in most cases. I'm sure the Jews who witnessed the believers in Acts 2 thought were pretty crazy. they even accused them of being drunk. to which Paul said, "we are not drunk as you suppose". I would not be so quick to judge whether or not the Holy Spirit does or does not do certain things, especially if it is recorded in the Bible that believers can experience ecstatic experiences that confuse people.

although, of course, somewhere along the way, a clear message ought to be presented, or signs and wonders following, healings, deliverance, prophecy, etc. in our case, we were at a conference where this type of activity was taking place already, and we were simply enjoying the activity of the Holy Spirit's Presence, although we were also creating controversy because Holy Spirit's Presence is controversial even among people who already believe in it sometimes.

Do not scare non believers away with this kind of stuff. I've been a follower of our Lord and Savior for my whole life. I have felt the Holy Spirit in me, and in no way does it do this. This makes me feel like you guys are in it to be different from everyone (christians included) and it bothers me. Where in the bible does it say that ANYONE was struck by a fit of laughter

metalmonnster...the believers in acts were all filled with the Holy Spirit, experienced a "wind" and tongues of fire, and then spoke in uknown languages. later on, when they went public, they were accused of drunkenness, but Peter spoke that it was a fulfillment of the prophecy in Joel about the Spirit being poured out. drunkenness includes laughter. Paul says to not be drunk on wine but filled with the Spirit. why that comparison? because being filled with the Spirit is a type of intoxication.

"his Love is better than wine"..."the Son of Man comes eating and drinking and they accuse Him of being a drunkard and a glutton..." (that wasn't even spiritual drunkenness!)...He gives wine to gladden the hearts of men...over and over, there is a correlation between wine, joy, and the experience of Jesus' Love in the Bible. if Jesus were with us, He would have been serving up the best wine for Last (after everyone had already had plenty to drink). He says, "to all who are Thirsty! come."

you're right. this IS different. but different is okay, if it leads to people experiencing more joy in the Holy Spirit. we had a number of people later come up to our group and receive infillings of the Spirit (though we didn't catch all of that on video because I had lost my battery charger). we got photos, though, I can send them to you if you want. lots of ministry took place in that later time. we believe that God is doing a new thing, which is controversial yet biblical.

The One enthroned in heaven laughs. The Lord Scoffs at Them. (Psalm 2:4). You have turned my wailing into dancing (Psalm 30:11). "He who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and MANIFEST MYSELF to him ... and We will come to him and make Our home with him." (John 14:21-23). If God laughs, and He wants to manifest Himself to those that love Him, then it would follow that a possible manifestation of Christ in Us (the Holy Spiri) is laughter.

another proof of this is that "wine" is used often to compare the Love of God flowing through human vessels. for one thing, God gave "wine to gladden the hearts of men". Song of Songs teaches us that "His Love is better than wine". and Ephesians 5:18 tell us not to be drunk on wine but instead to be filled with the Spirit. one manifestation of drunkenness is laughter (as well as weeping) or acting uncontrollably. so it would follow that being filled with the Spirit would result in laughter.

we ask for the Holy Spirit to fill us, and He does! (Acts 2, the disciples "waited" for the Holy Spirit to come after Jesus told them to wait for Him). just ask, wait, or have a Spirit-filled believer lay hands on you. or you can "toke" the Ghost...just take your hands, form an invisible "joint" and take a huff! ask Jesus to fill you, He loves to fill us with His Presence! it's crazy, but it works! Lord, I pray that you get this person FILLED right now in Jesus' Name! Holy Spirit come upon her!

this took place at Onething 2007, an annual youth conference in Kansas City with the IHOP (International House of Prayer) missions base. this event took place at Bartle Hall. we were asked to leave because we were creating a disturbance and blocking traffic.

Everything Satan has is a counterfeit of what God has. The lord is redeeming the drug culture and bringing them into a new spiritual high! We serve an infinite God who cannot be contained in the box or walls of our minds. Whether he gives this group JOY unspeakable or joy INEXPRESSABLE is up to Him. If it were to bear bad fruit, sure, cut it off, however I have seen this type of manifestation of the Holy Spirit SAVE people from hell because of this divine impartation of the holy spirit.

God and Jesus must be a demon. In Acts chpt 2 the Bible shows us that the Apostles where drunk with the Holy Spirit. Think for a sec. Hearing someone praising God in your own language does not make you think they are drunk. How do drunk people act? Think about it.

In the book of Zeph. it says that God laughs, spins violently and sings oover us. In the the NT it says Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit. The the greek it says He spinned violently. Read the Bible. Its all there.
