  • music for the ages

  • I love this guy. His voice is so amazing. Check out my intrepretion of his song, "Because".

  • This is the real deal: clean, dentifrised vocals, language twang and enough smoothness to slide you forward several centuries.

  • I may be young (I'm 43) but this is the kind of music that I like, no fooling. Today's music is generic, corporate-made garbage! Who cares about Justin Beiber, he sucks! I'm always looking for more good old music here on YouTube, so keep it coming!

  • Divinos!

  • Hey Thanks for posting this! My mom had this record when I was a kid and it stuck with me through the years even after she'd passed. I felt terrible because I was only a kid and I scratched this record up on her. A few years ago I found a pristine copy of it online. Thanks for sharing!

  • The missing singer is my secret love...Myrna Matthews...

  • THe missing singer is my secret love...Myrna Matthews...

Peter of Michigan, USA and The Philippines

  • !EXCELENTE!!!! LIKE EVERYHING RAY CONNIFF PLAYS!!!!!

  • !QUE ELEGANTE Y MUY GUAPO SE VE EL GRAN RAY CONNIFF ME ENCANTO ESTA CANCION !! !ESPECTACULAR!!!!!!

  • I'm thinking the 2nd woman from the left is Myrna Mathews - but i don't recognize that space in her teeth. Both she and Marti were VERY busy studio singers. Myrna is still working, in fact - and she's also a great pianist. David Joyce

  • NIce!!!

  • Ang galing talaga..........

  • Beautifully done....Ray Conniff is indeed one of the best arranger....

  • Too bad we don't have any groups like this today !

  • Even better than the BJ Thomas original!

  • who is the lady on the very right? at 1:17 she sings the word ' hey!'

  • When we listen to these voices and compare them with the ones we have been listening today, one may very well realize that Modernity has lost the capacity of having singers who effectively sing.

What can we do? Go back to the ones who really knew what voice was, who knew how to interpret, who knew that singings is education.

Thanks for posting this wonderful orchestra and soloists.

  • Gene Merlino is NOT in this video. The second person from the left is Jerry Whitman.

  • Thanks a lot for this correction. In fact, the names of the singers were given to me by Ray Conniff's piano player and right hand Perry La Marca. He could not remember the name of the girl second from right´. Can you? These are the names I know: Tom Bahler, Jerry Whitman, Gene Morford, Ron Hicklin, Jackie Ward, Marti McCall or Maxine Waters, -unknown-, Diana Lee.

Your reply will be highly appreciated. Best wishes, Manfred Thoenicke, Germany (I was the president of Ray's fan club.)

  • One of the singers Gene Merlino dubbed for Franco Nero in Camelot - does anyone know which one he is??? He may have the BEST voice but not Franco's looks :)

  • Three of the Partridge Family backup singers are in this.

The classic L.A. session singers' sound...

  • every piece of Ray Conniff is unforgetable.

  • Très jolie mélodie merveilleusement interprétée par un incomparable orchestre!
