What's also very interesting is that this guy appears to be trailbraking,especially going into some of the quicker corners.
Trailbraking in a kart is a rather controversial technique.
Can get you very quickly to the apex but usually not quickly enough out of the corner.
He's been doing a pretty good job in this video though.

Yeah my dad hates me trail braking because he's well worried about me spinning lol
especially with a direct drive kart that stalls when you spin
they are REAL karts - if you spin, you're out
no getting away with amatuer mistakes lol

Single gear rear brake karts are the only true karts.
If you can't place the kart with the brake and slide it on the throttle it's just not the same.
Karts are not about ultimate power.
You only need so much and then it all comes down to handling.
