Ok, I went to Montreal to see a Boston vs. Montreal game. The Canadien of Canada, not all, but quite a few, sang our national anthem, why can't we sing their's? Heck, why can't we sing our own? All we do is stand their in silence, or yell and clap our hands. The Canadien people sing their anthem out loud.

One dat i am gonna make a trip and be there live, hopefully in my Dress Blues to see this live! SO much better than 'tradition"!

As far as 'respect for those who serve or have served", well lemme tell ya, All Soldiers and Marines in Heaven are watching EVERY "Hawks game because of this AWESOME tradition!

The Canucks and the Blackhawks can make quite a crazy series if they play agn in the playoffs. Too bad the Canucks were so riddled with injuries last year or we could've went pretty far.

i just got the chills thinking about it.. season tickets since the old stadium and this last seasons playoffs was some of the loudest anthems i have ever heard!!!

no the anthem tradition started when Moscow Dynamo came and played the hawks around 1977 or so.The cheering got longer and longer. It is the best anthem any place. New York is okay.Montreal Boston Philly and even St.Louis is better.Ottawa would be the best if Mike Fischer could talk Miss Underwood in to doing it.

its been almost 30 years theyve been doing this. the night the us hockey team won the gold medal in 1980.. kind of a big deal... the blackhawjs fans started cheering upon announcement and throughout the national anthem... oh traditions.
