  • AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OUUUUUUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My God. That´s gotta hurt as fuck.

It´s very interesting to these kind of videos, as the most of the shit that people usually see about shots is from movies, wich are very unrealistic and exaggerated.

  • @ferna2294 Yes this patient had a great deal of pain. Best Wishes.

    Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • None of the morphine in the world can make that less painful.

  • @kikook222 This was a very painful accident for this patient initially due to the severe swelling, hematoma formation and metatarsal fracture. Best Wishes.

    Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • @padeheer how dids you shoot your self?

  • @ZaneDaWhale I did not shoot myself, I was the treating physician. Best wishes.

    Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • Thanks for posting the video. Just have a few questions: How long was the patient's stay at the ER/hospital? How soon was the cast applied after injury? And about the open wound -- what procedures were performed in the emergency room as soon as the patient entered? What happened after that?

Thanks in advance for answering any of my questions.

  • @neozgenesis

This was managed as an outpatient. The patient was cleaned out in the ER and placed on oral antibiotics. He was immobilized non-weight bearing with crutches and a cast brace. He did require an incision and drainage of his hematoma that developed. The fracture healed. I have not seem him recently, therefore do no know of his current status. Best wishes.

    Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • SHOT UR SELF IN THE FOOT

  • @stoneman619 This was a accidental self inflictated wound.

    Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

    Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • close to the pedal pulses

  • @shooby106 The entry wound was a little distal and lateral to the Dorsalis Pedis artery. It did cause a significant hematoma. This required drainage. Best wishes.

    Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • mmm hillbilly toe nails !

  • @bajachicken Fungal toenail infections can cause very irregular nails. Now, we have multiple ways of treating such conditions. Best wishes.

    Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • the bone shattered near the joints that gotta hurt if you move them...

  • @CrimelabS Yes with an intra-articular fracture; movement does cause pain.

  • @NateFosterSR I believe that is correct. Best wishes.

    Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • lol ugly feet

  • Why do you feel the need to impress your credentials to those that pose questions to you, by putting your name and title at the end of your reply? Smacks of a little arrogance, there, bud.

  • @jonesy97 Not arrogance, just my videos and I put my name on them so they are not used without my permission. Best wishes.

    Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • ouch :L

  • Hahaha, fail.

  • Your last name is DeHeer? Cool, you must have some Dutch relatives then. Because DeHeer is actually De heer, which means something like mister in Dutch. :)

  • @LordEmosewa Thank you for the information. Best wishes.

    Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • does the smashed footbone just reassemble itself?

  • @7mikethebike It just depends on how much trauma there is to the bones and fragmentation. Sometimes it can be a real mess. Best wishes.

    Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • @padeheer I asked that question- because the doctor said that the wound was treated with 'local wound care' casting and immobilization' etc , so it sounded like they were just letting it heal itself. It looks like the bone is in fragments(comminuted) so i wondered what makes the bone reform itself.

  • @padeheer Thank you for this video. This reminds me of the good old days when i was an African American for a week, i had painted my skin with a permanent marker. Rough times, rough times indeed. Thank you for your time.

Mr. Supreme American, Not A Black Man, Meteorology Student.

    Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • was he overseas and found out his girl was cheating on him...?

  • oh my goodness!

  • @kirbyman1kanden7pf This was a serious injury and required incision and drainage.

    Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM

  • Yes, I had to do an incision and drainage for primarily a hematoma. I then let the wounds heal by secondary intention.

  • did you have to perform surgery?
