This reminds me a bit of Come Dine With Me. If you record it and fast forward the moment Dave says "coming up" and keep fast forwarding until you see the sponsors come back at the end of the adverts you can watch a half and hour show in 19 minutes and not miss a thing.
Can i help you sir?Yes i'm looking for a gift for my aunt.Well you've come to the right place, this is a gift shop.Well yes this is what i was thinking. What sort of gift where you looking for?Well the sort of gift that if it were a quote it would be apposite.Hmmm.How about this woolen dog? That's perfect it's like you've met my aunt.Yes she's my aunt too.Daddy.Eh?
American shows always seem to be presented like this, just watch the British version of Hell's Kitchen and compare it to the American one to see what I mean.
Minus the narrator's voice, this is exactly how shows like Jersey Shore are edited together - about 40 minutes of filler and 5 minutes of actual new footage.

@djpob It implies the father married his aunt's sister. Not necessarily something to worry about.
