  • akala!!!!!!

  • What song of akalas is that shown in the beginning?

  • @YaziDogoTv Akala - Find No Enemy

  • Political rap scene is now becoming the real rap scene in my opinion. The idea of speaking out where ever your from or nationality is the basses on which hop hop started.

  • The reason why people who rap and sing about politics aren't in the charts like Akala, is because he may be saying the right stuff but most of it has no tune and isn't good music, so people don't buy it and listen to it as much as others, but i think he is good.

  • I had to look up some of the words he used.

  • I beg Alex Jones to interview this guy!

  • FYI, at 7:37, Akala refers to JAJA SOZE, Swiss from So Solid Crew, and Logic.

  • and there's an underground scene here in Canada too. I am willing to bet it's also in Australia and New Zealand aswell.

  • 5:39 Jedi Mind Tricks?

  • @dannygoodwinphoto Yeah, i think that they or atleast vinnie paz has been on RT

  • akala and lowkey tell it how it is real talk

  • well said.

  • i hear that in heaven Lucifer was in charge of music or the best at music.....so maybe the music industry in the mainsteam really is satanic

  • @pinball281 You sir, are a stupid fuck.

  • @pinball281 LMFAOOO tell me what you are smoking

  • @ps3gamer386 Tell me how you know i am wrong

  • @pinball281 satan was not in charge of anything, he was an angel but wanted to challenge god on human rights, so god cast him out of heaven down to earth and the one that rules earth for now is satan. so yeah sum music is satanic but not all.

  • best news presenter ever, speaks out, and akala just pwned since the start

  • Akala is a splendid musician, I do not know. He is bare something I do not know I liked his music in the 2006 2008 era when I was a white black man. like 12-14.

  • that mainstream shit disgusts me, that lil wayne and the fat bitch adele... and that fucking goon chris brown... infecting the youth.. fucking parasites after the money

  • This guy has talent!

  • I love political music most of the tracks i have been writting have been politics

  • The presenter would get it! Oh yeah, hold tight akala, check out his 'fire in the booth!'

  • Proof that are rappers are articulate, intellectual and know what time it is. Common misconception with rappers is that they live in their own bubble and are not tuned in with what's happening politically. Step forward Akala who is not only well spoken but sharp as a razor. I salute the man

  • @ASAMOAH24 proof that SOME rappers are intellectual. You telling me Lil Wayne knows what articulate means?

  • @SuperFlyJStar

yes he probably does. Little Wayne as poor of an Mc he is, he probably does. I would say that 60 percent of the rappers US or otherwise you'll find are quite intelligent. Especially those who write their own songs. Most of what you see on screen is bravado and for show. But when called upon, rappers like JAY Z, Kayne, Common, Lupe Fiasco whoever, know what time it is in the world and you'll find they're quite well spoken.

  • @ASAMOAH24 dDwayne Carter is actually quite an intelligent guy.. he was even granted a scholarship for child geniuses at 12 or therebouts... but I think aswell as getting caught up in crime &lookin at his options he decided a LONG time ago to join &lead the masses rather than fight them

  • @mrmillion94 also i go uni in south so i see it on a regular basis, the hood as we like to call it is on my doorstep but it doesnt mean i have to act in a certain way, i have a choice although i do admit for a long time in my life i didnt see it. i cant speak for the RT presenter but it is true the same industry hoes i was denouncing makes it ten times harder for other man to come through but INNOVATION IMAGINATION and PERSPIRATION will always prevail no matter the context

  • @mrmillion94 theres obvs is a great history in rock and hiphop and grime etc of using metaphors so i would allow giggs to use cultural references even if they may not literal be true, what i was referring to when i said "real content" is not propelling a myth of bling cars and ice, not to mention musical and personal autonomy wyhen they are controlled by recorded BOSSES. just like in a real job where your boss tells you what to do, why is it different in the music INDUSTRY? Its not.

  • Brilliant, a true inspiration

  • akala is by far one of the greatest rappers alive, and definately best british rapper. and he seems really down to earth. i would love to chill out with him.

  • @RyanGiggsOBE lowkey all day

  • @Ehtishaam786 i personally prefer akala, lowkey is more about politics, whilst akala is more about uniting people. also akala's flow is a lot more versatile compared to lowkey's. listen to akala's fire in the booth, that is on another level. both are really good though

  • It's not that people don't like this type of music its that no one finds these people to listen to them in the first place. I think you you are a fan of Akala and other political rappers you should spread the word about them. Show them to your friends that like hip-hop, or simply post their music on facebook.

  • Now THIS is what makes me proud to be British.

  • Comment removed

  • He makes me proud to be British...

  • How does this retard think he has anything to do with fucking Africa? This fag is a mongrel half white and half black and he gets his intellegence from his white side. It's a damn shame. Britain is going down the tube faster than I thought if people like him are popular. You want real music? Listen to Bach, Beethoven etc. This guys a clown.

  • @14AmericanNazi88 Some people do and say things that are positive and make the world a slightly better place. Akala is one of those people. Some people do and say things that are negative and make the world a slightly worse place. Leave the dark side brother! Let some love into your life..

  • @14AmericanNazi88 1. Retard no, he is a Mathematics genius, read his bio. 2. He is clearly no faggot, and with his looks and personality could easily take your girlfriend (if you have one). 3. If intelligence comes from the white side, then why is it that so many Nigerians in the UK excel at education. Google Imafidon and realise the truth about black intelligence. 4. Blacks here are still brainwashed, but are slowly (perhaps learning from their african brothers) starting to believe the truth!!

  • @14AmericanNazi88 I know enough blacks that are not white but are very intelligent so you don't make sense.

  • yes Akala..badman

  • She sounds exactly like MILEY CYRUS !!!

  • @91hussy No she doesnt miley cyrus is a texan howdy type.

  • What is "moving" musically is no longer melody, harmony, counterpoint but primitive rhythms (hear Stravinsky or Antheil for how it can be done), narcissism, infantile-ism, consumerism, & a host of d-evolutionary tropes. Folk music is still fecund with social realism. Classical music is still the apotheosis of the art. Pop forsook the beautiful for the decadent long ago.

Folk music is still the most fecund area for social realism & classical music is still the apotheosis of the art.

  • @mrmillion94 all music is political - politics is about people and music is reflection of self. so like the industry we have today where artists tend not to have much real content it shows on themselves. the old school genres had content and even Tupac and Eminem were both talented. They combined what they had so it doesnt have to be either or. I agree we dont want to be saddened and its good that you do research things but the truth is a majority of people dont look things up they are CONSUMERS

  • The problem don't want to hear political music because they find it "boring." What a sad society we live in.

  • What's so bad about music not being political or serious? If I ever want to learn about something, I open a book, or read an essay on the internet. Frankly, I don't want a biased music artist to inform me about the world.

  • akala is for reaaal man :)

  • TOMBSTONE DA DEADMAN AKA RATIONAL WARRIOR

Activist music is far from dead.

  • under that fro, is a fucking huge brain.

  • @fiftyninechickens lmao for real!

  • @fiftyninechickens its not an afro its an expansion of his brain

  • @fiftyninechickens His brain is no bigger than your's or mine, or anyone else's. If you read and research enough, without watching TV then you'd be as smart as he his.

  • @MrDubPro maybe his brain is bigger but the size of the brain does not decide how smart you are :)

  • @howto1231000 Maybe it is, but you are right, bigger brains do not make you any smarter than a person with a small brain.

  • @MrDubPro I was being metaphorical you pendatic nob

  • Ho's, Car's, and don't forget the ol Crack Pipe! Alyona! No crackpipe no music! No, but seriously, I like some of the old school rap, and being a musician myself, I am open to all of it, as long as it sounds decent, and put's out a good message. Let's just lay off the Ho's, CrackPipes, and mine is bigger than your's. And this brother from another mother has got the right attitude. Like Merle Haggard say's in his song. Im proud to be an Okie from Muskogee where we don't smoke weed. etc.

  • ALOT OF PEOPLE SAY AKALA IS BETTER THAN LOWKEY. OR LOWKEY IS BETTER THAN AKALA. THUMBS UP IF YOU THINK THEIR AT THE SAME LEVEL.

  • LIKE IF LOWKEY BROUGHT YOU HERE!

  • speaks the truth.. we should have more rappers like him and Lowkey <3

  • Akala is right on the money about this. But it also goes a lot deeper then just how much airplay and coverage the "top" artists(if you can even call them that) get. Watch the Hollywood MK Deception Series on youtube, and look up the "monarch" mind control.

  • 1:00 Illuminati shit

  • RT is part of the the main stream media beast. Hmm...

  • poltics and music the 80's wtf fail

  • @mykmmc What the fuck are you talking about? theres a lot of political music from the 80's

  • @Carljoakimmm not much and nothing that made people stand up and do things I remember the 80's they sucked

wait you're right ........WE ARE THE WORLD............lol fail

  • @jimB0D0N Yeah, says me...and, what?? I'm in "the industry" state side, and I get sent music by Black Market and Fat City records in the UK...AND, I checked my files and nada...Sorry, no disrespect to your boy. I'll check for him, and he seems intelligent. At least they didn't have a complete ass-hat on, like that MC JahJah, from last time; and, I did give him props and credit for debunking Alyona's fuckery on political rap having moved solely to the UK...so, what do you want??

  • Yes, the people are sheep. They want to be pacified, so they choose crap music. Especially in the UK.

  • People like Akala and Lowkey are gonna change the world for the better.

  • @BigJBeatZ8321 Better yet, their going to inspire the new generation to follow in their footsteps (hopefully.)

    )

  • @BigJBeatZ8321 add Lupe Fiasco in between

  • @BigJBeatZ8321 and what are u gonna be doing in the mean time? this is part of why the world is fucked every expects somebody else 2 take responsibilty and action for a better the world. WE ARE ALL(!) OUR OWN SAVIOURS. we need to stop waiting for other people 2 save us. Sorry but I've seen commens like that alot around youtube it just annoys me.

  • @FutureKnut I hear your pain brother and i agree personally I am trying to do the same thing as lowkey and akala through music also but we need people like them to open the eyes of the stubborn people that we might not be able to, until the time comes when we all need to bring everyone together we all need to do our own thing until that time comes, and I wish you best of luck in your endeavours.

    Peace

  • @BigJBeatZ8321 if they don't mysteriously die.

  • Akala is a philosophical poet that can spit

  • Keep on Rockin; in a Free World..

  • Great video. Thanks ^_^

  • Fourthly, it seems that alot of these "Political Musicians" are Rappers. Rapping is not music. And often times It's associated with politics AND a racial motif in the same go. So a Political rapper has no legitimacy whatsoever.

But hey, RT supports any sort of popular opinion without ever thinking it through. If Fitty cent or Lady gaga or Beiber suddenly acquired a political agenda(Which would likely be in RT's scandalous favor), RT would hop on it no doubt.

    Shameful RT. Just Shameful.

  • @peepeevagi Rapping is used in Hip-Hop and hip hop is music you idiot.

  • Where to begin... Firstly, no musician should feel pressured to include a political agenda in their music. It's music, not politics.

Seccondly, lots of musicians who have any sort of fame and a political agenda usually only have one to bolster their own popularity(This can, however, backfire).

Thirdly, Politicians who make music ONLY with a political agenda usually dont have a fundamental understanding of politics at all. What sounds best isn't allways best. But Musicians dont know.

  • @Y0UT00B3R1 No name, akala?

    says Y0UT00B3R1 how fu*king original

  • First of fucking all bitches, don't you EVER go spewing that introductory, Russian Propaganda Fuckery regarding "politics" in Hip Hop, bashing the current state, in front of an image of MY A Tribe Called Quest, again...or, you will have the Y0UT00B3R1 to answer to!

  • And, what kind of politics did you really expect to find in those BULLshit ass, POP-ass, Top 40 examples of fuckery you've shown?? Don't you say SHIT about my nigga BussaBUS, either!! FLIPMODE IS DA MOTHA FUCKIN SQUAD, bitch! Pop or not, his verse in 'Look At Me Now' is legendary, and he is one of the pioneers in this real Hip Hop shit...

  • There's Lowkey, Brother Ali, KRSOne, and others who are out there... they're just not as prevalent as Katie Perry or Justin Beeber, sadly.

  • @jimmycrackedcorn226 krsone is an illuminati bitch, trust me, search his def jam raps and read between the lines, his message is that poor people only have themselves to blame for being poor, trust me search it. peace

  • @23Saladin def jam raps, you clearly havnt listened to much krs one or bdp

  • ...At least Akala gives props to the (very much still alive) U.S. underground political scene, when Alyona spews here usual propaganda fuckery of declaring that all things good have left the U.S. for better pastures...RT really makes themselves look stupid, talking this shit in front of images of the Rock The Bells festival, too...one of the only few venues left for political rap, and where acts & RT staples ImmortalTec, M1 and SSSC have all performed.

  • I checked him out. Very good stuff. Thanks!
