  • one of my fav parts of this movie!....kneels before zod. then the handshake at the end is my fav too

  • COME TO ME SON OF JOREL, KNEEEEEL BEFORE ZOD!

  • is it just me or does it seem like they are "falling" out the window? also whats with the bill cosby photo in the daily planet staffroom?

  • This is probably the ONLY time Luthor is happy to have Superman around.

  • i mean, get him!!!

  • love this scene and lex luthor relief superman showed up..

  • It would take a lot to surpass this movie as the top Superman movie. When I saw it as a kid, everyone in the theater stood and cheered when Supes crushed Zod's hand.

  • If I was Superman I wouldn't have said anything, I would have just blasted him with eye lasers.

  • @Shadowlit001 Wouldn't have done anything. He's also a kryptonian. And Superman doesn't believe in sucker punches.

  • After they jumped thru the window to fly after Superman they were going straight down.

  • Forget Peter Griffin: General Zod is Stewie's real father

  • @MaidenUtah1 In a Family Guy remake of Superman II, Stewie would BE General Zod.

And Meg would be Ursa, and Chris would be Non.

  • WE MUST COMBINE OUR STRENGTHS

  • Best Superman and Luthor ever. I mean EVER - past, present and future.

  • Christopher reeve still gives hope.

  • what a fag he want somebody to kneel

  • Jump to the left before Zod, step to the right before Zod, put your hands on your hips before Zod, lets do the time warp again.....before Zod

  • Luthor: "Superman, thank God!"

    Zod: >:I

    Luthor: "I mean... GET HIM!"

  • COME SON-IN-LAW OF VINCE.... KNEEL BEFORE PUNK!!!

  • superman should have just kneeled before zod... i mean do you know how difficult and expensive it is to replace broken windows from such tall buildings......and the healt and safety hazards to those working in those buildings!!!

  • I always loved Zod as a villain because he represents what Superman could have been if he weren't raised by people like the Kents.

  • @apvideogame Good point...i know if i was superman, the desire to rule would be too great to overcome

  • Snootchie-bootchies. Ehehehehe!

  • Superman thank god; I mean, get him!

  • I love this video coz my girlfriend says the exact same thing as what lois does everytime I dis-robe.

  • Drop before Zod! Give fifty before Zod! One before Zod! Two before Zod! Three before Zod...

  • @WigginsPete

    lol hahahahahaha

  • lol 0:15 no glass just blinds break, then 0:17 u see the glass

  • Superman, thank God.

  • @CBright7831 - Eeer I mean get him him!

  • neallllllllllllbefore zod!!!lol best moment in the movie...

  • press 8 for super Zod xd

  • lol, they go out of the window like the Weather Girls in 'It's Raining Men' :)

  • Somebody threw Them cats out the window.

  • 0:07 - 0:11 : Probably the greatest moment in the Gene Hackman's career.

  • @TheLastOfTheFinest80 Great to show that even Lex Luthor knows when he's over his head.

  • @JustPhilNY I appreciate your insight.

  • Shit's on.

  • Ha ha! He's standing in front of a photograph... it's so obvious. :-D

    Donner did it better.

  • Great scene, with the exception of Zod and Ursa clearly NOT flying towards the windows!

  • Four people wouldnt kneel before Zod.

  • @reinaldoomaciel only 1 person would not

  • The opening to the greatest super hero battle ever committed to film. Sure, the special effects aren't as good by comparison today, but you could sense the impact of what was happening.

  • Ursa was a babe!

  • If you thought Terence Stamp was villainous as General Zod, check him out in "The Collector" where he places a sociopath bent on collecting women in the English countryside.

  • The Donner Cut ruined this scene.

  • One of the greatest scenes in cinema history!!!!

  • i like how instead of flying, it looks like the villians are being thrown out of the fuckin window. still better than cg!

  • Best British Baddie evah!

  • Fuck I love this movie.

  • Lookin forward to Callum Blue Zod turning into the real Zod in 1 or 2 weeks from now's episode in Smallville!

  • reeves, stamp and hackman in the same scene, in a fuckin superman movie...awesome

  • Michael Shannon just cast as Zod in Zack Snyders Superman The Man of Steel

  • The sfx have dated a bit but there is so much spirit and charm in these movies they will always be the best.

  • This battle was so epic. No it was beyond that, it was colossal.

  • ive watched this movie a million times in my life and i never noticed that picture of Bill Cosby behind General Zod!!

  • @blackspartan1977 It's O.J. Simpson.

  • thanks for this

  • KNEEL

    *You btich...*

  • I love how superman has already flown away when he says that line.

  • 0:11 COME TO ME SON OF JOR EL. KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!

  • LAY ON YOUR BACKS BEFORE ZOD!

  • Best moment in Superman movie history.

  • Luthor's scene here is one of the only decent comedy bits in Superman II. It's funny but it does have a sense of seriousness to it as well. The whole scene is good, from how badass Superman was to the overbearing sense of self that is Zod. Great scene, great movie.

  • Who the hell does Luthor think he is giving General Zod orders?! Zod should have fried his ass right there.

  • lol, i swear when i saw lex do that, i thought "SIC 'EM BOY!"

  • Comment removed

  • KNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEELLLLLL BEFORE ZOD!

  • The best scene ever. The dialogue, acting, and music are spot on.

  • KNEEL!!!!

  • THAT'S Terrence Stamp?

  • Terrence Stamp is such a bad ass in this movie.

  • "Come to me, son of Jor-El! KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!"

  • Kneel before Zod! Now onto your back before Zod! Hands under your hips before Zod! Twenty flutter kicks before Zod!

  • @Kev95682 I loled before Zod!

  • @Kev95682 Is this like a Kryptonian version of 'Simon Says'? Zod Says?

...Doesn't have the same ring to it...

  • the kyrotonian criminals just jump out the window...looks like they are committing suicide.

  • Comment removed

  • KNEEEEEEEEEL BEFORE ZOD

  • Gene Hackman has that charisma that makes him a villian you can like......Terrence Stamp is epic

  • Wonder who's this Neil general Zod keeps talking about... yeah, I know, lame pun :P.

  • @espp1973 Don't worry, it's just me.

  • @espp1973 seems to be Zod's predecessor :-)

  • i like how they 'fall' out of the window in that one shot lol.

  • thanks God, I mean Get him!

  • haha, Lex Luthor: "Superman? Thank God. I mean, get him!"

  • Love how Zod points towards his crotch when he says "Kneel before Zod!" lol, what's he trying to say?

  • @gmorales14 He points to the ground to add more emphasis to his statement. The same when you tell a untrained dog to sit, when you point to the ground the dog is more likely to listen to your gesture.

  • @kryps1 I know. I was making a joke, not being literal. Sheesh.

  • @gmorales14 "Suck Zod's c**k"

  • LOL Lex Luthor ordered them "Get him!"

    And they obeyed him. hahaha!!!!

  • Who was that running in the background from 0:14 to 0:16?

  • @BestLoin75 Your stupiderman.

    Jerk.

  • General Zod forgot to say snoochy boochies at the end.

  • ''would you care to step outside'' was much more badass than ''ever heard of freedom of the press''.

  • I am more alarmed that hes talkign to a window.

  • kneel before zod, kneel before zod, kneel before zod.... its the only line you hear in this movie lol

  • I wish Zod killed Stupidman!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • snootchie bootchies

  • Lololol General Zod calm down

  • @GenuineBolino Who the fuck are you telling the general to calm down?? The general won't tolerate such insolence.

  • Here's an idea for ya Zod PISS OFF!

  • "Superman, thank God...I mean, get him!" I laugh every time Gene Hackman says that line.

  • @KellyGreen5555 He "Should have said "that's the son of Jor-El"

  • @KellyGreen5555

I think deep down, lex wanted superman to help him get rid of the 3 villians.

  • @KellyGreen5555

I think deep down, lex wanted superman to help him get rid of the 3 villians.

  • Why in the Donner cut does he say "Haven't you ever heard of freedom of the press"??

  • @CalgarSkull Cuz that's what richard donner filmed. I personally think it's a better line!

  • @Toydude1984 Why did they change it to step outside?

  • @CalgarSkull because Lester liked it apparently, IDK, LOL!

  • @CalgarSkull i can't figure that out myself. I personally believe ''would you care to step outside'' is much more hip than ''freedom of the press''. That was kinda cheesy to me. Also, when Lex and otis are washing laundry, Lex tells some guy ''I want my Liberace record back tonight. In the Lester cut, the guy tells Lex,''there's a scratch on it''. But in the Donner cut, he tells Lex, ''tonight?''

  • @msmithstud "Would you care to step outside" is also a callback to the diner scene (Clark said the same thing to the redneck before he got his ass kicked.)

  • @KnightofDuroch i remember him saying it to the asshole truck driver. I just believe ''freedom of the press'' had nothing to do with the situation.

  • @msmithstud agreed.

  • The First time I Saw this movie It i saw this part just about when the General Yelled "COME TO MEEE, SON OF JAR-AL!!! KNEEEEL BEFORE ZOD!!!" and Jumped out the window... And I thought he was trying to commit suicide* :3

  • :13 is that a framed photo of OJ?

    Kneel before OJ!

  • KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!!!!

  • superman thank god ..i mean GET HIM :@

  • good vid

  • Inconsiderate Krytponians... didn't even pull the blinds up before crashing through the window.

  • I always wonder what would Zod wanted Superman to do after he got on his knees in front of him.

  • Should add Jimmy Lois...saying "knows flight plan", "he'll be here!!!"

  • Lex Luthor felt good because of Superman hahahaha

    "Superman, thank God!"

    Totally Funny!!!

  • Superman meant to say come get some

  • "Kneel Before Zod!"

    "Ahhhh ZOD OFF GENERAL" :P

  • Kneel before Zod is on the same level as Luke I am your Father. You either know exactly what that is or you just look at the person stupid.

  • Lois: SUPERMAN!

Lex: thank god superman, I MEAN GET HIM!

Zod: Come to me son of Jor-El! KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!

that scene is the best scene ever! (to me anyway)

  • Is that a picture of Bill Cosby behing Zod at 00:12-00:14??

  • @bjoh249 - Hate to say it, but I believe that's a photo of O.J. Simpson!

  • kneel? nah, ill just fly away. catch me if you can! xD

  • Bitch! I said kneel!!!

  • "come to me son of jor-el, kneel before zod!" lol, classic.

  • That's the proper way to own a bitch.........KNEEL !!

  • KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!

  • I would fuck the shit out of Ursa

  • ha! yeah right is that before or after she fucks the shit out of you? lol

  • Before, obviously.

  • lmao @rad4life1's reply

  • Ok, anyone else notice that they didn't fly out of those windows? The pretty much fucking fell through them.

  • @ItsJamesOBrien. That's because they can't actually fly. It's just a film.

  • Comment removed

  • @GomerDose - Zod spelled forwards is YOUR RULER. Now kneel before him like the little bitch that you are!

  • Gene Hackman at :07. FUNNIEST LINE EVER!!!

  • "kneel before zod, bitch" DO IT!

  • theres a ghost in this scene, look behind Zod when he say " kneel before Zod " seriously

  • Is that a picture of Bill Cosby on the wall? Why is there a picture of Bill Cosby on the wall?

  • "Come to me son of Jor el kneeel before Zod" ..such a classic line

  • An even better line:

Lex: "Bow, yield, kneel!" That stuff closes out of town.

  • This scene always made me happy as a kid ..superman getting his powers back and finally confronts Zod

  • It's hilarious when Zod and Ursa jump through the window.

Mr. Stamp might be some badass actor, but even he could not beat the laws of Physics.

  • @MasterMacLeod word

  • "KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!" Best ego-maniacal line ever uttered in any movie.

  • Also, Best Unintentional Gay Line Ever

  • Lol true I don't think it would have the same effect if Zod had a slightly lisp like way of talking "Oh my goodness, Kneel before Zod honey" lmao. He is dressed the part though.

  • I wonder what Lois is supposed to be thinking here since she last saw Superman as mortal after transformation that was supposed to be permanent and now he's Superman again??

  • She already knew because if U look @ the part in the dinner, he told her he was going bck 2 the FOS & try 2 get bck his powers, so she knew he was coming.

  • KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!

  • what do they mean by the donner and lester versions?

  • have u seen both

  • No i have not m8

  • ok basically ill say in brief Donner was fired by the Producer Director of the first film as he supposingly spent too much and generally didnt get along with the salkinds, so they fired em and brought Lester in, Donner made his own cut, which has different scenes and is better i mean superman tripping over a rug its superman how would he miss that, while the one in donner is more believable, also overall donner much better director, Lethal Weapon, Goonies and Omen to his name

  • ok thanks m8

  • Rug tripping was Clark wanting to give away he was Superman. Donners cut was 10 times more retarded...how would Superman not see there was no bullet when fired at him? Lesters original is better dude.

  • Lester made Superman silly, plus whos to say the gun wasnt lead based, superman cant see through lead lol, I know the rug bit was superman wanting to tell but heres a better solution take of the glasses and go hey LOIS I am superman!!! lol

  • OK explain how Lester made "superman silly"? The only silly parts are when Zod is blowing at the end and we have the ice cream hitting the woman etc. for a few seconds, but its a COMIC BOOK MOVIE so try to accept that. The whole notion of a flying man is "silly" in itself. And the gun part? I'm talking when the bullet exits the gun, Superman would see THERE WAS NO BULLET very easily. Remember he caught the bullet when the robber fired at Lois?

  • If you're referring to the scene in Donner's cut where Lois 'shoots' Clark to find out if he's Superman, she fires a blank. So, for all intents and purposes, it probably would have looked like a real bullet to Superman.
