  • I disagree Citizen6953. Firstly, not all rotator cuff issues have the same etiology. Secondly, one of the primary etiologies for (most) rotator cuff tendonitis involves instability issues in supraspinatus (the most anterior of the 4 muscles comprising the rotator cuff). The upright row is an exercise recruiting deltoids, trapezius, and rhomboids, as prime movers, and arm musculature, supraspinatus (another-external-rotator), as secondary movers. Supraspinatus's involvement is isometric here

  • People who have a rotator cuff problem should avoid this movement lilke the plague!
