Thanks for that video man! That was pretty crazy that guy tried to grab his shit.. Ha.. Makes you wonder what was in the box? Maybe it wasn't jewelry.. but his stash..
greedy vultures..... ya know what you do? if you are going to loose your stuff you get a buddy rent the unit as physically close to the forclosed unit..(normally$1). and then after they close you can get in (before they put THEIR lock on it AND BEFORE they start lein proceedings) either remove the items to the other uit or remove it from the property all together. if it's anything like the units here in NY the cameras dont work any how..
I have watched every one of Glendons videos and have been buying for about 6 months now..i havent seen any shady auctions yet and the auctions i go to are with large chains who dont need to get that extra little bit and probably dont have the time..Having said that im not buying every storage facility is on the up and up either. I consider Glendon the foremost expert, but like every other business in this country there is no doubt shady shit going on in a % of this business..guaranteed
the first warning sign was when the "auctioneer" (I dought this clown is actauly an auctioneer) anyway when he started taking bids before even half of the group had a chance to look it over.
I would have walked @ that point.
You will see more and more of these cons as people watch the TV shows about lein sales
ran into another bidder from this auction and he was saying the same thing, about the auctioneer starting so quick before others got a look in the unit.
he suggested too, that the winning bidder was with the tenant who went in the locker...
hmmm.... owes $900 in back rent, win the bin for $360... OK... now I can see where this can lead.
Hey Bro!! Thanks for the shout out!! Ya man when that dood showed up an grabbed that box the bidding sure got hopping! That would have been a good buy for 120!! Thanks for putting this up. Gives folks a real up close and personal look at what the life is truly like!! You did an awesome job!! You are like me, a bunch of kids and not enough time in the day!! Take care!!
America's Funniest Storage Auctions -I love it man! Honestly I use to hate it when the owners came to auction, you never knew how it was going to go down!

Been seeing this more and more ( bidding starting before all have seen the bin ) in the past couple weeks....
auctions where 10-20 people show and now seeing 80-150 showing up.

Ever thought the owner was set up by the storage company? Might not have even been the owner. Just a thought.

@thunt777 - What do you mean set up?
The manager lady seemed to know who he was, as she called him by name.
