I have my compaq laptop and it's pretty darn old!!! Lol but I use windows movie maker to edit and upload my videos and I've had a lot of issues with it I'm getting my first iMac on Xmas which is in 5days and I wanted To know if Imovie was any good cause I wanted to know how my editing software would be on my new mac and this iMovie seems pretty professional and way better then windows movie maker!!! I'm sooooo exicted!!! 5*'s dude!

hey man i actually have an imac and yes the macbook pro [which my sister has] comes with ilife 09 meaning you get imovie 09 iweb 09 etc. :} im jealous of my sisters macbook pro lol

only if you get the family version whitch can be downloaded by up to 5 macs but its an extra 10 dollers

But i CANNOT STAND this new version. There's no way to edit in a timeline mode which makes it near impossible to edit efficiently.

lol your not bugging me =D. Screenium records everything on your screen. It costs money but if someone gives you a code you could easily just type it in and get it for free. It is very easy to use and a great program

sorry i havnt responded to your question for a week i was on vacation =D. I used a screenium which is a very good video recorder for mac. I perfer ishowu though now that i have learned how to use it give them both a shot!

Sand0321. u can run leopard on a pc and ilife too because of mac's switch to intel. and no u dont have to be a professional hacker or anything. im running leopard and ilife on a Compaq Presario V6000 and leopard runs faster than windows did for me. just google OSX86 Project.

iMovie will never work on PC.

iMovie 09 is software which will only work on Leopard and Leopard is not just a software, It's a fully functional operating system for mac computers (it is even more powerful than windows). Also it's impossible to install leopard on a PC unless you are pro hacker.

There is a few mac emulator on the internet, but it's extremely slow and have bugs, ilife will not run in these emulators.

No you have to buy iLife. But you get iMovie and Garageband which is a program that allows you to create your own music, and you get iDVD, iWeb and iPhoto for $79. Also iLIfe comes free on every new mac.

True & Not true at the same time, some of this you couldn't really do on iMovie, but you were able to do on Garageband & stuff like that, but now you can do it without the need of another program, I suppose.

there are various ways it is used and ill be happy to tell you =D. You can now either reverse the clips you highlight or set the speed in either fast or slow motion. This is very useful in many occasions to improve the video.  You can pick the speed of the slow motion from various of different numbers so you can change the speed. If you want more information or clearer statements just ask me =D!

i just got ilife 09 and i installed it like no problem but u see the only problem is is that imovie is still the old version and everything else is new any one know what i should do

unfortunit;y sometimes something unexpectively would happen. For example, my friend tried downloading it after updating from tiger to leopard and everything worked but imovies to fix this i'd advise you to do what my friend did and head on over to a applestore and ask them whats wrong I could try to help if you give me more information but it worked for my friend =D.

well like the most i can say is that its still the same old imovie. i just upgraded from tiger to leopard yesterday then i put in ilife 09 and like nothing looks new but the garageband and iphoto are new but imovie is still tiger edition if that helps?

you can buy mac osx disks and install it, but it is illegal. It voids your warrenty with Microsoft and if apple found out then they could sue so i'd advise you not to if you have any questions feel free to measure me
