I heard of an American guy in Mexico who slid into a curb and tore a cylinder off his R60/2. They trucked it to the border, took off the cylinder, piston and rod , and duct taped the opening shut. They got in line and pushed it up to customs, where they started it and drove across the border. If they hadn't, all repairs would have to have been made in Mexico to drive it across the border.

This lady was hit head on by an unlicensed rider at about 100 miles an hour, removing the cylinder from the engine.
She was medivac'ed and lived and still rides today.... that's what's left of her bike.
