@Chunklake This fight was in late 2007, around the time when Pacquiao was still lighting up the Super Featherweight division with Marquez and co, and had yet to even dip his toe in the waters up at Lightweight...and at this point, Mosley had been up as far as Jr.-middleweight....but even with all of these facts aside...there was not a single mention whatsoever of Manny being a potential opponent for either of these guys.

@Chunklake This fight was in late 2007, around the time when Pacquiao was still lighting up the Super Featherweight division with Marquez and co, and had yet to even dip his toe in the waters up at Lightweight...and at this point, Mosley had been up as far as Jr.-middleweight....but even with all of these facts aside...there was not a single mention whatsoever of Manny being a potential opponent for either of these guys.

@Chunklake ....Even after the David Diaz fight, Bob Arum made fun of the idea of Manny fighting guys like Cotto, as if he was saying that such a fight would be just crazy talk, and he was right at the time, because Cotto was at this point, what Pacquiao would eventually become --the guy who has the best shot at Mayweather and the guy Mayweather was ducking--(but on a much smaller scale of course). Believe me, no one was talking of Manny possibly fighting Mosley, nevermind ducking him....

And that's not speculation, Pacquiao but mainly Freddie Roach were very open about the fact that they were not interested in fighting Shane Mosley, with Roach stating something like ; "Under no circumstances will we be going anywhere near Shane Mosley".

The argument is actually the opposite, there are TOO MANY rules in MMA. Can't kick or knee a downed opponent in the head, can throw elbows from every angle except 12-6, can't kick or knee an opponent in a 3 point stance. There's a lot of weird rules that need to go away.
