People talk about the Cross Bronx in NYC and the Dan Ryan in Chicago being worse at rush hour. Sure, I'm not saying they aren't. But is that all NYC and Chicago have??? LA has the 10, 101, 110, 105, 605, 710, 57, 60, 91, 405, 15 and 5 freeways, and ALL OF THEM are congested. That's the thing with LA, it has more freeways than most North American cities while still having very high congestion 22 hours a day despite it.
@phillyslasher No that's not all NY has. All the roads in NY are congested, the Cross Bronx makes everyone's list because there is a legitimate risk of not moving at all times, not just rush hour. It also has done much harm to local kids lungs. The number one problem with LA is that 5-6 different populations pour into a Downtown area where most of them don't even work. This poorly designed intersection screws it all up.
@ztrain445 IMO New York city streets are worse with all the pedestrian traffic and stuff. But LA is worse on the interstates. New York has the best mass transit in North America and commuters are somewhat close. LA has poor limited mass transit and the city sprawls for miles upon miles. That causes everyone to drive in and out of the city. LA is one of the few cities where you see gridlock traffic going in both directions on the freeway. Honestly, Los Angeles, IMO has the most crowded freeways.
God, I HATE motorcycle riders. They all cry that cars don't respect them and than they drive like this jerk toward the end of the video. Would LOVE to see somebody sacrifice their door at the right time and teach this guy a lesson.
@TheAbbott1000 Lane-splitting is legal in California. That guy is actually helping to ease congestion by doing what he is doing. If he were to sit in traffic with the rest of those cars, then traffic would be slowed down and pushed back just a little bit more. Instead of car drivers bitching about being stuck in traffic and thinking about "teaching" the guy a lesson by hitting him with their door, maybe more people should ride motorcycles.

The dan ryan is Chicago ranks as America's 2nd most congested highway after the cross bronx freeway in Nyc.you would have to visit Chicago to know, ive been to Nyc and LA and LA differently has worse traffic problems,And Chicago has worse traffic problems over Nyc, but the cross bronx highway is pretty bad...30 minutes in Chicago is smooth, its more like 1:30 minutes, driving at 0-5mph for 35 miles is bad...

@Kartracer6 , the INRIX put the dan ryan as the 2nd most congested highway after the cross bronx highway and the hollywood freeway came in 7th.The reason why the dan ryan is the 2nd most congested is becuase of the bottleneck around the circle that seems to be there nomatter what time of the day it is.

@dudestir127 This video was taken on a Sunday at 11am lol I'm sure NYC has areas that are worse during rush hour but, I've driven through NYC, Chicago and Houston and live in Los Angeles. And in LA you can drive somewhere at 3am and STILL be stuck in traffic.
@Kartracer6 , the stevenson is the one that averages about an 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes at rush hour,it took me 2 hours last time i went to the suburbs(bolingbrook) i was literallly stop and go traffic from pulaski till the bolingbrook exit........so yea traffic does get really bad specialy at rush hour.

Really? Central Florida traffic is a joke compared to Southern Cal. Spend some time on the 405 at about 6 PM on Friday and tell me that I-4 is that bad.
That sucks for anyone driving in LA. Luckily in Sacramento we have plenty of freeways but the traffic is not as bad. only around the I-5 area in downtown and the Capital City freeway get majority of the traffic. Thats why I live in Sacramento great weather lots of things(river lake old sac cal expo) to do. Reno to the east, San Francisco to the west, the valley mountains to the north, and of course Los Angeles to the south.
