Remember that Obama himself voted to fund the war repeatedly until he ran for President. In addition, he voted for the FISA bill and he is against stopping the occupation in Afghanistan (which is just a front to remove the Taliban so that we can build the Trans-Afghanistan pipeline).

No actually your wrong. Here is how it happened the Soviet invasion of afghanistan began on August 7, 1978. The US helped the Afghans gain there freedom. What did they do with it? They rotted there country in civil war to the present day, and supported terrorist that attacked us.

What did America do after France helped us win our independence? Oh I remember, we became a stable nation.

The US helped Afghanistan "gain their freedom". Wow. Might as well read from a propaganda textbook. The US's pretext was for Afghans' freedom, but as we all know, the US only does things in its interest. The US did not want Communism to spread and certainly did not want Russia, it's enemy, to become stronger. Therefore, it used Afghanistan as a location for its proxy-war.

The United States supplied the Afghan Mujahids with weapons and power to fight against the Communists. Afterwards, it purposely allowed Afghanistan to be plunged into chaos (whatever happened to the Afghans' suffering and freedom?). This struggle for power eventually led to the creation of the Taliban who were supported by the United States (see "Taliban arrive in Texas") until the Taliban refused to sign the Trans-Afghanistan pipeline (and then conveniently 9/11 allowed us to remove them).

Go do some research: The United States has a long history of claiming to do what is right and claiming to be a beacon of freedom around the world. In reality, the United States has been responsible for arguably some of the worst atrocities in the world.
