ya IMO it was very poorly managed. eg. Shane McMahon who was a popular face after WM 17 and Vince who was heel had to make quick turns, esp. Shane. Also, WWE hadn't been able to buy Sting, Goldberg, Hogan or Nash at that point so WCW/ECW looked really thin without all major stars. To make them look stronger they pushed Austin and then Angle into The Alliance, which was stupid, esp. Austin. Stone Cold in WCW/ECW? The guy who saved WWF from bankruptcy and helped beat WCW?
