Watching this, I'm struck by how very different Ingrid Thulin is in life from the roles she played for Bergman. Usually she's the most tormented and repressed character on the screen. Think not only of CRIES AND WHISPERS, but also THE SILENCE. Even in WILD STRAWBERRIES she was very restrained. In life, however, we see her as relaxed, uninhibited, humorous, bright and cheerful. Whereas Liv Ullmann, out of character, always seemed a little too earnest to be relaxed. Both are great actresses.
Yes, I absolutely agree with you... and I recommend everybody to watch Ingrid Thulin's performance in Tinto Brass's Salon Kitty, and confirm (again) the great actress she was.
does this clip have some material that isn't in the movie, for example the faces of Thulin and Ullmann in the ending of the movie? :o
