I have been to countless beauty salons, and they have tried to teach me, but i just could not get it when i got home. The tip about this pins is so helpful, because i never know what to do with all the hair, and end up getting it all clumped up and cant telll what ive curled and haven't. do you have any tips on how to get thick curly hair to stay straight and lay down. doing my hair is like eating at an extremely expensive resturant, doesnt happen for me i keep it up in a pony tail becuz i have such a hard time doing my hair and it takes so long so say i straighten it and it takes me two hours and by the time im done it is already starting to curl up again and it makes me so mad so i put it up and forget about it its even hard to do with a 7 month old and a 2 year old. It depends on the texture of your hair, if you have coarse hair, I would recommend a frizz control product with silicone. Blow dry your hair with the hair dryer facing down the hair shaft to reduce frizzies, make sure it is completely dry. But if you live in a very humid climate, I would recommend not fighting your natural curl, get a great curly hair cut and get some tips on product from your hair dresser.

i do this very often with my 1 inch curling iron and it's really pretty. It gives more like a loose wave if you hold it for about 5 seconds...So if you have a curling iron you don't need to get a wand (those types of curling irons)! :)

For anyone with naturally curly or even wavy hair, I would recommend Garnier Frucis Style - Curl Shaping Spray Gel. It is amazing, and it works really good if you can't get the curling iron to work. I have half curly half poofy hair, and I used this Garnier stuff, because I couldn't get a curling iron to work, and it works wonders! I heard about it in Seventeen magazine.
