  • As expected of my favourite band, an amazing cover of a great song \m/ ^_^ \m/ Kuroneko's voice is perfect <3

  • Best cover I ever heard. Box set in December! I must buy because I don't have all the albums.

  • i always like hearing japanese people sing english songs. it sounds just like how i sing when i dont know the lyrics :3

  • It was all good until I heard the vocalist...lulz.

  • Mphhhh bwahahahahahahhaa! Ahahahhahahah!

  • eh like iron maidens version better, but onmyouza is a pretty sweet band.

  • That is worng. Visual Kei is all about how the band sounds too. NOT just the way the band dresses. [2] Look dude...An Cafe = Harajuku Kei but it's Jrock too....-OZ- = visual kei...but more heavy.....They are all Jrock....but the sound is different...because an cafe = harajuku kei.... -oz- = visual kei

  • I know what american metal fans think about this...oh...it's japanese...oh it's girl...oh it's visual kei...oh it's gay...oh it's not about music, just appearence...oh....lol..funny...pathetic...

  • I feel a sense of the warrior psyching up before battle at the same time wondering if the chick singing this is hot ? It's a weird feeling. A bit like finding out your cousin is gay but not as bad as that. I'm joking.

  • 0:32 isnt he putting it in the wrong way??

  • It's different, but I like it :D

  • jejeje

    la voz de una chica

pense que era el video real jejje

  • they messed up dave murrays solo

  • they fucked it up

  • Okay, so where can I get the Japanese version of the tribute to the beast?

  • @qqquasar You can order it from KING records in Japan. There is also Tribute To The Priest with Onmyo-Za version of Beyond the walls of death also on KING records. I left mine in Japan.

  • the vocals on this are fucking hilarious, they're so awful they're good

  • no just awfull

  • B ) : )

  • Visual Kei is not a genre, it is a SUB genre!!!

  • it is not a genre it is a style which everyone fucked up and now looks emo. unlike in the 80s where it looks FUCKING AWESOME and early 90s.

  • is vk even worth arguing about? jeesuz

    awesomeee rare upload, thanks

  • "is vk even worth arguing about?"

Truer words have never been spoken.

  • umm...ok..... it works now! Pretty cool :)

  • Oh that is badass

  • That vocal really sucks, I thought this would be a cool cover but I started laughing when the singing began :D.

  • the drums are awesome

  • wow its cool :O omnyouza rules :D best j-metal

  • Correction - J-Rock - Cause in Japan there's only Rock, Pop an Visual Kei

  • didnt understand anything but ok xP

  • lol, sorry, what I mean is this is classified as J-Rock even if it is metal because in Japan there are three genres of music Rock (Metal, hard rock, emo, etc), Pop (hannah montana, dance, rap) an visual kei

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhh ok i understand now xP

  • Good :D

  • There are bands of all kinds of genres in japan: from metal to jazz, ska and another bunch of stuff.

  • but there all put under one of three genres in Japan -.-'

  • Sorry but i think you have the whole "3 genres" thing all mixed up. Who told you that was the "official" denomination of music in japan? And what genre is VK? What musical style would be if it's not pop, rock or any of those?

  • I study music - we get taught this sort of stuff -.-'

  • You still haven't replied why VK should be considered a musical genre.

  • Because VK isslowly expanding from been a sun-genre of J-Rock, into it's own genre - It seems to developed one hell of a large fan base -It's basically like Emo - that started a a sub-genre...

  • That vk has a certain number of fans doesn't make it into a genre. Once more, you're mostly talking about the visual style, the image of the vk bands, but not the musical style. Emo in it's beginnings at least had a sort of lyrical trait. Is there any in VK bands? I can't see any in particular.

  • I agree, I don't believe that VK is a genre. Think about it, Malice Mizer and SuG are both part of the VK movement but have little if anything in common with respect to musical style.

  • If we boiled down the musical style of most VK it will range somewhere between industrial rock, electro pop and somewhere in between. Once more, nothing that has been done before, it's the visual presentation of the bands what makes the only difference here.

  • yh fair alice nkows wat she/ he is talking about think of x japan in 87(fucking love 80s vk) and think of an cafe if u are saying vk is a genre that means they will sound alike and hell no they dont.

  • Eh... Fact is everything from Japan was classified that way in the US. The Japanese realized this sold CDs so they started labeling their music like that. It has nothing to do with the actual music genre. Visual Kei is simply a way of dressing and the music within the genre range from heavy metal to pop music.

J-Rock is just a label that people seem to place all rock music from japan under when that's actually no real genre and all those bands allready fit under existing genres.

  • That is worng. Visual Kei is all about how the band sounds too. NOT just the way the band dresses. There are a lot of subduvisions in it. Onmyo-za btw, it's not visual kei. It is heavy metal or enka metal.

  • No. It's not. X Japan was one of the first Visual Kei bands and they played a range of music styles from glam to thrash metal. Visual Kei is just a label for how they dress. Most visual Kei bands today sound nothing like the old ones either.

  • @Yzyz00r No. He's right. Visual Kei is just a way of dressing. It's not a real genre. That's why bands that a labeled as such will range from Metal(Gargoyle, Onmyo-Za, X Japan), to Rock(Girugamesh), to Pop(I can't think of any bands...).

  • It's about the time, too. Listen do X Japan and Luna Sea... They're visual kei and sound alike, even if there are differences between the bands (such as in any other genre). Now listen to two oshare bands and they'll sound alike too. The thing is that: Bands use visuals to show an expression of the things expressed in the music. Visuals alike, music alike.

  • wait x and luna sea sound alike because hide founded luna if my knowledge is correct.

  • 1. That's not even close, especially if you're talking about Onmyouza.

    2. This version (to me) sounded a hell of a lot better :P

  • close to what? Better than what?

  • What do you think? Read the title and/or the description and you'll find out :P lol

  • correction on you sir there exist metal japan trash metal bands such as anthem and black metal bands such as sigh just be sure to be informed before making a point lol

  • @SrMimosin DO NOT forget about X Japan...-_- Onmyo-za is good, really good but so is X Japan! :] So both of them are good...don't dare to disagree -_- xD

  • what i meant is that know that the double bass pedal is more awesome than the hi hat

  • those drums are fucking sweet. why didn;t nicko play it like that. HE plays with the hihat know the double bass pedal

  • Not a bad cover for the original, I'm more into the riff of the song than anything else. Gets my blood racing.

  • wtf

  • Kuroneko's english sounds great.

  • i know a group of girls called the iron maidens, their original singer fuckin rocked it, female vocals are different, not inferior, look em up.

  • Some of these other commenters need to grow a brain. Is a female vocalist just not metal enough for you? Fuck you!

  • This is Kuroneko, my favorite female vocalist (she doesnt often sing in Japanes)check out Onmyouza Beyond the realms of deth(prist cover)

  • a cover of the trooper. isnt it obvious?

  • What are you talking about! She's Kuroneko! Her voice es beautiful!

  • means Black Cat

  • Lol.. i get an answer 2 months later

  • Nice!!!!

  • Very excellent, Definitely, it's better

  • The singing is ok, it's not suppose to sound like Bruce.

  • agreed. I was getting into it untill the singer started. I don't think anyone got passed 40 on this video.

  • what a load of crap...sounded decent 'til it started singing

  • Did she say "the smell of asses fucking horses back"? lolol

Too bad the singer never learned decent English ;O

  • WTF!? o.O

  • haha it looks like bruce is singing it. looks so funny. Great cover by the way,

  • Heh... so Kuroneko knows how to sing in english !

  • why did you have to use the original video of maiden??!!! :( you could've done a better job getting a video of your band

  • Obviously it's an Iron Maiden song, and it's covered by the Japanese band Onmyo-Za. They also do Judas Priest covers...Although I wish they didn't defile the video like this..

  • Do you have a link to the Judas priest covers?

  • No I don't, sorry, I just know that this band has also done a couple Judas Priest covers, but I haven't been able to locate any videos of them doing one of those songs...oh well..

  • WTF IS THIS

  • hahahaha

  • ape hey sore die g2?

    ate gile kume ni

  • _ _

    O|O O

  • bah... I'm not good with smileys ;)

  • O_O

    ...

    That voice...

    :S

  • WTF !!! the voice screw up all

  • Is this song about the British fighting the Russians? Cuz Japan fought Russia before WWII... that could explain why they chose this song haha

  • Not Bad, come on people There are waaaaaaaaaaaaay worst covers of this song cut it some slack

  • omg.

    then singer ruined it.[2]

  • omg.

    then singer ruined it.

  • where did you find this?

  • What the hell? way to crew up this song.

  • this is not onmyouza, this is a cover from the iron maidens! :s you people are wrong, how could you ever confuse onmyouza's typical excelent style... argh!

  • it sounds like onmyouza, cuz i just looked up the iron maidens, and that chick dosnt sound like this... this sounds like kuroneko

  • WTF, this is NOT the Iron Maidens, Bruce Chickinson is asian but DOESN'T have a Japanese accent.

    This is obviously Kuroneko's voice.

  • Nothing beats the original, nobody can beat maiden.

They didn't even come close, but god damn they still did well.

  • dragaterl is voll der assi!

  • ONMYOUZA *_* Pure ecstasy!!

  • The double kicker's tight in this version

  • fuck you

  • I like the layered BGV's after the verses...

  • They should have let Matatabi sing this. His voice would have worked a lot better. Kuroneko just sounds like shit on this track.

  • Matatabi sings Priest Beyond the walls of death.

  • que mizera é essa

  • good karaoke but thats about it

  • yeah, this is awesome guys and if you don't like it FUCK YOU!

  • WTF??????????? hahahaha, shiiiiiiiiit!

  • I love Onmyouza, but this cover was shitty, i think that Matatabi should have sung it, this way it would trully better.

  • ok now I know for sure, it's iron maiden with the voice of onmyo-za........

  • this is strange, it's iron maiden with the voice of onmyo-za I think

  • singer sucks

    the band its ok

  • wow...what a disgrace

  • A very worthy cover of a classic song, very cool solo.

  • Great guitar work, but I don't feel the vocals fit, it's a shame, because otherwise, it is a great cover.

  • well, it is a cover, it cannot sound exactly the same, after all.

  • I am not gonna argue with that, it's an awesome cover, great guitar work, it's just the vocals, she is talented, I just don't feel she really fit the bill.

  • I think she got that Bruce Dickinson's vibratto. :) But she is also Japanese, it is supposed to be with an accent... If it is that what you mean

  • Actually, I've heard some Japanese singers who can sing without the accent, and do an awesome, awesome job.

As for what I mean? The whole thing sounded great, guitar, bass, and drums were all spot on. I just couldn't quite get used to kuroneko's voice, it just felt a tad out of place, not that I'm not acknowledging her talent mind you, it just didn't feel right to me. If it was the male vocalist of the band singing, I'm certain it would've been that much better.

  • The Sentenced version is the best cover and no CoB did not cover the song.

  • The vocals of that song are questionable but the guitar solo is much better in that cover version

  • She doesnt need them!

  • the solo... had a Japanese feel

  • WOAH haha

  • How to make Bruce sound like a little girl :D

  • WTF??????????????? Oo

  • Kuroneko is a very talented singer, but I feel like her voice doesn't fit that well on this song... However it's a good cover.

  • That's exactly what I am trying to say, Kuroneko is indeed very talented, just that her voice didn't fit. Still, everything else was awesome, and overall, it's one of the better covers of "The Trooper" that I've heard.

  • Try Onmyouza Beyond the realms of death cover!

  • Beyond the Realms of Death eh? I'll have to check that one out.

  • Its Princess Mononoke AMV Onmyouza, IcedEarthalcoholic!

  • LoL, Wow, I thought the intro sounded a little different on the mix, but was like ok, drums sound more awesome than usual, then the vocals began.... only took a second to get used to it then it freekin ROCKS...AWESOME !!!

  • Sorry, onmyouza likes me but... it souds like a Dickinnson's gay version (sorry again)However, the riffs are great

  • The second guitar solo didn't go with the song's theme to be honest. It sounded too exotic. Other than that, it's a good cover.

  • no its not

    its not horrible

but its no where ur near the lvl of talent of the original maiden verision

    and besides come one

    you pire your musket

    wtf

  • Listen to Onmyo-za version of Beyond the Realm of Death!

  • Nicely done! 陰陽座 forever!

  • onmyo-za rules

  • love the song like this . the solo is wonderful.

please someone send me this song

  • From the Japanese edition of Tribute To The Beast!

  • HAha Awesome. It's amazing how the song mixes well witht he original music video. Thanks for making this! XD

  • I prefer Kuroneko's voice. This is a great song, cool to see the original clip with Onmyouza version.

  • one of the best gitar songs ever and the best singer is singing it. Instantly 5stars. THX so much!! could u send this song to me?
