Well for the other nations that holds true...however the pirates do not have access to ships of the line...only frigates...so a line formation would be suicidal for them

the sad thing is... i dont know about this game but in real life they usually line their ship up, do a broadside battle, then the fleet would break formation and attack ships of their choice...

Those are some small boats... Was everyone 50 in this and jsut decided to jump in in Medium - Large ships, or were you all just on the levels required for those ships? @_@

@Greencze "first ever" doesn't have much meaning, since I've seen games having a "first ever" event, and most (if not all) of the players present were at end-game. I'll apologize for not thinking about it implying this however. Forgive my ignorance.

omg i cant stop playing this, its just such a brilliant game and the graphics are so real, liek the cannon fire, after firing millions of cannon balls, the fire and smoke still amazes me, allways makes my mouth drop, such a brilliant game ^^

how is the population? I was playing empire total war and the naval combat is such a pale shadow of this (where real people are captaining the ships). The main reason I quit was the low population and screwed economy... did the server merge fix this?

this was not a crappy game- it was flawed maybe in PvE and but in Port battles nothing could equal the tension....Nothing..it was spectacular

only thing i gotta say is if you play voyage century its free and its the exact same game. little difference maybe small tweaks in graphics. So id rather play that then pay for this to be honest. specially since it got such a shitty rating from multiple game review sites.

You loose 1 durability when you die. All ship of the lines has 2 durability, so when you die twise...then you loose youre ship.

Of course you just have to buy a new ship deed, then you can use it to refill youre durability.

no, friendly fire doesn not exist here. you can't fire on allies when targeted, and if your target is blocked by land or another ship, you cant fire.

I always thought then when watching Pirates attack during a Port Battle was like watching the gay pride parade. Also is your server mentally deficient? Usually in Port Battles it's best form formations, not just run around randomly.

I've seen in some peoples videos of the game that there is a hideous Amrican voice saying 'I'll get that bilge rat!' in it! Do you have to have that voice? Can you turn it off without losing the sound? The game looks great but that would really irritate me! lol!
