  • I'd use a drill bit but the metal, never thought of that as framing, cool!

  • when u screw the screws into the roof like that, dont they come through to the outside and like i dont know, cause leaks? just asking!

  • @davidgriffin14

No, because the roof is at least 4-5 inches thick and the screws are only 3/4 inch long. Thanks for asking.

  • Awesome... I'm converting a flat nose short skoolie myself... I've done a bit of steel framing... You may be using the wrong size tip for the screws... A small impact driver works pretty good as well... Just thought I'd throw some helpful tips out there for the viewers... Good Luck with the build...

  • @thedirtygoat

Right on Bro, thanks for the tip.

  • Im converting a similar bus. Where did you get the metal you build the cabinets with?

  • @patabird23

I got all the materials at home depot. The metal stud and track is usually in the near the lumber department. Just ask them and they'll help you out. If you got any other questions, just let me know.

  • Great Video! Love Mike's straight forward attitude to his application and how honest and gruff it is. Cant wait to see more im subscribing. I just recently bough a 1970 MCI Bus thats 40ft and starting renovations soon. Its already been converted but needs a lot of TLC. Should be putting up videos of my own soon. Please keep your informative tips coming!!!!

  • Thanks. We still got a lot of work ahead of us, but it will be fun. Look forward to seeing your bus.
