Awesome... I'm converting a flat nose short skoolie myself... I've done a bit of steel framing... You may be using the wrong size tip for the screws... A small impact driver works pretty good as well... Just thought I'd throw some helpful tips out there for the viewers... Good Luck with the build...
I got all the materials at home depot. The metal stud and track is usually in the near the lumber department. Just ask them and they'll help you out. If you got any other questions, just let me know.

I'd use a drill bit but the metal, never thought of that as framing, cool!

when u screw the screws into the roof like that, dont they come through to the outside and like i dont know, cause leaks? just asking!

No, because the roof is at least 4-5 inches thick and the screws are only 3/4 inch long. Thanks for asking.
