Drum beat at around 7:30 is so 80's sounding and epic. I love how they managed to make the zerg music sound deranged, sickly, and gritty. Then the protoss music sound epic like a knight going into battle while keeping the terran sounding like industrialized, metal heads.

It took 8 years to perfect the balance between the three races in Starcraft and they are yet nowhere near that in Starcraft 2. Adding more races would make the work exponentially more complex. Rushing to add content for the sake of content just makes the game part of modern mediocrity.

Starcraft wasn't born classic it evolved to it patch after patch. These days developers just hop from sequel to sequel. That won't lead to any classics just shelves full of Call Of Duties.

It's still a better RTS than lots of other games. You are saying that it is garbage because you can't master a switch in playstyle every now and then during a match. You would just be devoured in a rts game by the opponent because he only has to out micro you during a skirmish between forces

@DustMan2704 C'mon - you don't have to like the style Starcraft brought to RTS and popularized it. But you can't ignore the fact of its popualrity and keep saying "it's crap" because it isn't. You don't like it - don't play. It's awesome that we have plenty very different games (old and new) from which we can choose our favorites - Starcraft introduced another kind of RTS, like it or not.

As for the music - you like hard & fast like TA and starcraft isn't hard & fast in single player.

Starcraft2 com is it's official website, but there is no specified release date. Probably in the first few months of 2010 because Blizzard wants it to be as good as it can be, and all that perfection stuff.
