It's always good to berate the audience when you're the one performing.

Every band and standup comedian has had a shitty gig that was the audience's fault in some way. if their shitty personalities are driving them to miss out on a great band or hilarious comedian, it's their loss. why would you try to convince them that they should be acknowledging how great you are? just put on an even better show, if for nothing but to make them possibly regret missing it, or just for those who do care

The videos are great and I love coming home to quality recordings after a solid show, but there's a real irony here that the user who got this video has the entire show videotaped. As I said, love the recordings, just find great irony in it. :)

Well first of all whoever was in that crowd watching The Dead Weather perform live and weren't completely into it deserved to get told off, Anyone who has ever seen Jack White live knows he gives his all in his performances he obviously was frustrated with the lack of enthusiasm from the crowd and let his frustrations out. I know alot of people who would do anything to see the band live, and i'm sure there were people there for the right reasons,sucks that wasn't the case for everyone.

I've been listening to music since the early 60's, worked in progressive college radio during the golden age of punk circa 1980, and seen live acts ranging from Count Basie to Bob Dylan to The Stones to Wilco to... well you get the picture. Without a doubt, Jack White is in the highest echelon of modern musicians. He's original, creative, and extremely skilled as a musician. Best of all, he tries to keep it real and has little patience for the phony snob scene. Go Jack Go!!!

Just The Dead Weather's style and music, and his personality at the moment show he is in a different state of mind than he was in the White Stripes days of popularity. He may be reflecting his distaste for what music has turned into, or he may be distasteful of the fact that he's playing for a quiet audience like he's a crappy piano man in a hotel lobby.
