faisal is doing an extraordinary job by putting the discourse of islamophobia and terrorism in context. public accountability is something democracies need to practice to keep it from falling to its own vices. unfortunately public institutions capitulated in the hands of fear tactics and kept silent when a minor was tortured half a world away because of the colour of his skin, the language he spoke or the faith he was born into.
