i have a similar problem, whe i record a loop it sounds fine, but when i loop it back and play over top of it, what im playing drowns out the loop, so i can only hear the loop when im not playing, kindof pointless!! especially when playing with distortion.
It looks like his "stop tap" is also the "start tap"...I thought it only works like "start" - "record" - "stop" - "waiting for the next round" - "start" - "record" - "stop" and so on.
But he plays without waiting, all tracks after one another... i don't get that...??
@Fantasmo81 Actually, after the first recorded phrase the device remembers the length, and automatically starts recording a new phrase after that length. That's why it seems that way when he records the thirds.
Does each looped part stay separate so you can drop them into the computer if you like the parts, or does it all get mixed together in one audio file?
@generatemusic Hey, no, you can't plug this thing into the computer unfortunately. You have one "dub" undo possible, but that's just one track. And when you start recording a new one it merges...
@theBurek hey there, im new to using this pedel, i was wondering if you could offer your knowledge on the matter at hand. say i have set the pedel to auto, i played a riff and have a drum beat playing along, how then do i use the undo/ redo function if i were to add another riff? meaning how do i bring in and take out the second riff i have added?
I'm having trouble understanding how to change the temp, or speed of whatever drum beat, "guide", I have chosen. It implies that I can tap to get the speed I want. Tap what, and with the mode knob at what setting??
I know what you mean. One way is to record a drum beat on one of the tracks and then when playing back, keep pressing the Tap/Tempo button. I don't think Tap/Tempo works any other way. It's a bit confusing.
The only problem I would have is that say you want to loop a clean riff and improvise on that with distortion, you can't do that if you don't have the right pedal...
Other than that it looks awesome! I'm gonna buy one this week.
You can put high gain pedals (distorsion) in front of the RC-2 and record without distorsion and play with it. I use it behind my Pod XT Live and there's no problem with any sound...
i just bought this pedal and i love it so far, just one question. is there any way to get the saved loops off of the pedal and into something else like a pc or mp3 device?

So all effects have to come before the looper? I ask because everything, including reverb, is coming straight from my amp.

@generatemusic If you want to transfer loops to a computer, you need the Digitech Looper

was that an actual song or just made up loops?

that is an impressive demo thanki you for posting. does the rc 2 suck any of the guitar tone from the fx? i have experienced that with some pedals

So... With the "Undo" function, you hold down the pedal and it removes the last piece of loop you were playing?

LesPaulRockerProduct 2 years ago
man this is a wonderful pedal! i could sit around playin with different rythms for hours. does this pedal come with a dc power input?
dkstryker 3 years ago
it comes with DC power input, but you have to buy a power adapter (BOSS's are OK). Or if you have a pedal board you can hook it up there.
