There were a couple cracks here and there, but you can find JA versions where the same thing happens. Musically they nailed it. Vocally a couple bumps here and there. Overall great version.
1971- 1979 - 15,000 - 50,000 watts, mind boggling musicianship. 2011 - 100 watts, below average musicianship! Benoit's voice is getting worse by the minute! The versions with Rabin and Kaye from the 1980s are better! Something I never thought could happen. This is Roundabout like i'm the man in the moon!
Yes really have been part of the soundtrack to my life and probably my favourite all-time band. I first experienced Yes live at the Rainbow in London. Tales from a Topographic Ocean was hard work.Over the years I've been to four Yes concerts, the most recent one on this tour in BrusselsThis was for me the best line-up and the best concert. I'm still on a high weeks later. The atmosphere and songs were just fabulous.Powerful, musical, melodic. Thanks Gavitana!! Thanks Yes,including Trevor Horne.
sounds like me tryin to sing that in the shower lol!!! YIKES!! BUT THEY STILL ROCK!! yes yes yes i remember them well, though i dont remember mrs. doubrfire playing bass for them hee hee, oh well we all get old if we're lucky but man he looks like that old english comedian woman but without those crazy glasses lol!
@madrasphall I'm very much neutral on the whole Yes without Jon thing but from what ive seen, people who want Jon back need to grow up and be patient and just wait for Jon and Rick to come round or rejoin the band.. Btw I couldn;t care less if you thought it was shit, I enjoyed and will be seeing them live.
It's actually Chris who is singing like shit. I think Benoit is having trouble tryimg to sing in harmony cuase Squire sucks wind. But I do say...It ain't Anderson....These guys are old now...geriatric even
@ madrasphall at the end of all three shows Portugal, Madrid and Barcelona you hear the chant Ole ole ole ole ooooole oooole that means BRavo! or hurray! and if you could hear it is chanted by all not just one or two people enough said.
Now Yes; on video seem to be playing well as a band... and I can imagine how it's going to be live for sure it will be even better. The new songs are translating well, the old have a new found energy thanks to the two new editions of Geoff and Benoît.
@madrasphall The reason it sounds crap is because it's one of the hardest songs in the repertoire and they made the fatal mistake of playing it last. I think if they played it earlier on in the show, like when Asia did it, it wouldn't sound so bad.
No way. The reason it sounds like crap is because they are terrible now! From 1971 -1979 they played this and everything with mind boggling power and perfection. Watch the version from Philadelphia 1979. It was played last, and it's beyond belief!

Not anymore. In 1976 Chris said, I think we're still on our slow, upward curve. He should now say they have hit rock bottom. This is very painfull to watch and listen. EMBARRASSING!

Dude, they're rockin' & rollin' with a great crowd, thrilled to see 'em. SO glad to hear Alan blasting away in the whole middle part!

@elipper The audience doesn't know any better; they're just happy to cheer on the legendary Yes as they spill their beers all over.

What a shit version of Roundabout. The worst I have heard, the vocals from the Jon Anderson stand in are out of tune and struggle
- what a pathetic way for this band to finish up. Pure crap, im glad
they are not getting my money to see them in the UK.
