  • this was neat to here that your surgery worked for you. I had the same surgery and finally got my license at 25 but now only 27 and had 4 seizures since then but my last time behind the wheel I had what I thought was an aura so i immediately pulled over but no seizure. now i am so paranoid to drive so i take the bus but feel like i never had the surgery-it scared me that much and no one is willing to help.good true 'friends'...

  • Sounds like a good idea not driving for a while and if any "friend" has a problem with that--it's their problem not yours and clearly they are not a friend. You don't need them. Remember, epilepsy may be part of your life, but it is not your life. There's so much more! Keep up the good work!

  • thank you for responding, it is nice to here something positive for once. the few 'friends' i have, all they say is 'can you drive yet?'. so to me their just acquaintances not friends. out here the time period is seizure free for 3months yet its only been a week and their already asking if i can drive, or my sister said shell give me rides but when she has a hissy fit like a child she ignores my calls and only will help if money is involved. so thank you for your confidence! : )
