Also, I really like the plasma cannon. It can't be reflected, it can hit multiple enemies, ammo isn't that rare, and it can hit assassins. Not sure how much Attack you need, no more than four I think, but it can one shot them.

Nonono, it's base 3. Upside-down T is 0, middle is 1, and T is 2. Then you have _-, which is 3, because 0*(3^0) + 1*(3^1) = 1. And it "goes up to 242" because 2*(3^0) + 2*(3^1) + 2*(3^2) + 2*(3^3) + 2*(3^4) = 242. You're basically using your left hand's fingers to point to your right hand's finger's joints to represent the numbers.

Indeed, but then you have to remember that you count with combinations of your joints, not the ammount of joints. it's a base 4 system, it's not that simple. you were thinking base 10 AKA decimal, which is what we usually count in.

Oh DC, your play style fustrates me to no end. I'm not complaining about the videos, or expecting you to change anything for my sake, don't get me wrong.

But when you're strutting around with near full ammo for near all of the game's weapons, and you still insist on playing reflector-cat-and-mouse with the enemies... you just seem to be shooting yourself in the foot by not using the more exotic guns.

Anyway, teching is just getting hit and be damaged without flinching too much, just like Elites and Berserkers do. I still prefer AVOIDING bullets.

Ternary's actually base 3. It has three settings: low, middle, high. Like how base 10 has ten settings, 0-9.

It could work if one could move each of their fingers halfway or all the way up by themselves.

If Iji could aim down, she could just do a normal Quake-style rocket jump instead of the nuke jump. But if I were given a choice, I'd pick the nuke jump.

Okay, I got confused because I didn't realize that low knuckle was for 0. Honestly, I misunderstood the counting and thought they were counting three lengths on a finger, not 2. So yeah, digits 0 1 and 2, ternary. Makes sense now.

Damned if I can think of a use for it.

The only thing that bugs me about this game is the somewhat arbitrary "You must do it this way!" bits. You need 10 strength to open this door. No, put away your nuke. Use your leg.

I remember when I first read the logbooks about the Tasen and the girlfriend. At first I thought they were lesbians or something, no offense, but then I realized sometimes girls call their friends girlfriends. It made more sense.

It's intentionally vague. Instead of blatantly saying "accept homosexuals!", which would draw attention to them, treat them differently and be heavy-handed, I just let it slip in there somewhat unnoticed.

Like half the troops being female, it's also part of making the Tasen and Komato more internally organized. I know this will sound pretentious, but the idea was to make them accept each other but still not their enemies, even when the only thing separating them is just another superficiality.
