Why aren't they making a third series? I was already bumbed out when they stopped Stargate atlantis at just season six... real shame... we still haven't explored even half of that city... Now they don't want to continue with stargate universe? What is the movie industry doing? I am very disappointed... Let's hope they have a change of heart soon.

Seriously what I want to know is WTF are MGM thinking? I mean I know Fox has this track record of axing it's best shows (or in the case of Firefly showing them in the wrong friggin order and then axing it coz of a mistake THEY made!) seriously are they honestly trying to compete for who is the biggest douche?? They've literally just dive-bombed a massively lucrative franchise. My advice-Flame the producers websites/forum's/youtube accounts/twitter accounts until they decide to take it up again.

Um im 27, and a fan of SG1, and a huge fan of SGA. Despite watching the tv series when they came on at 11PM at night, i bought the DVD's to support Stargate Atlantis. At 1 stage, SGA was doing so well it even helped SG1 remain airing. They cancelled Atlantis to make Universe. That was their reason, they said it. The producers/& Syfy assumed that SGA fans will watch SGU. NO! I have now watched all of SGU. Not bad, but what if i spent $ again to help SGU? It would have been cancelled anyway.

It's just not liked as much because SGU was a whole different approach, it is so different compared to the other two and people don't like change!! And that's why I love it, I think it's a magnificent tv show that doesn't have all the corny, soap acting the other two did. Still like the other two though :)

@XxUTUBER1XX If I'm not mistaken, SGA ended with them landing Atlantis on Earth. I can't see much happening from there other than using it to defend the planet, which would get old after the first episode. They have no feasible reason for moving it elsewhere.

SGU on the other hand, had so much promise left in it.

@1203125 what happened in atlantis is that they've got a movie on hold that's going to bring real closure to SG1 and atlantis. so far it's just about where the universe series are now. meaning most probably ending because of several mortifying factors to and around seer numbers and money all in all. and that the 2 million fans in america and 8 millions outside which isn't on the show's sending time won't make them change their mind

This show is really turning out to be awesome with a really good and detailed story. The first season might have dragged a bit but no doubt we knew the characters better and now season two is the sickest season ever!. SGU has Soo much potential!!. We need it back!.

If that's the reason, it explains everything: Stargate never had that much drama at all with SG-1 and Atlantis, so when they did add it, all the fans hated it for some reason, yet BSG, which seemed even more dramatic, was like the top show on Syfy! And after seeing the ending of the last episode, I couldn't sleep because I kept thinking how stupid it was stopping the series right there!
