Have any of you seen cars on dyno? Check the specs of cams? Type r cams are good for giving you horse power till 8500 on a ls block. The only cam that put out 5hp more was the toda cams stage 3. Type r cams are best bang for your buck and thats why I have them lol
this aint super fast cuz its still stock compression so if he doesnt have the head milled it should be at 9.7:1 and for all motor thats super low compression
I highly doubt that, SOHC could never chirp third, the way this guy did. I had a SOHC Mini me motor, with more bolt on's than I/H/E and i coud never keep up with DOHC or chirp 3rd. i got tired of getting my ass handed to me so swapped a B18B, the difference was night and day

you should put jdm b16 pistons with ctr camshafts there considered stage 2 & a little better than the itr's. with a jdm b16 tranny also it should be pretty fast!
no its not hard at all man...you just need the tools...i'm guessing you dont build your own motor...but trust me b16 tranny puts out more torqe also with the high compression it has a better throttle responce...and w/ all motor you'll still be in 4th gear in quater mile...you'll only have to go in 5th gear if you were boosted...tried it before man...

@lramon1 Are you keeping the bottom end stock, or going all beefed up internals? I know you think it is obviously going to be build, but I heard of some people with stock bottom ends living on high boost with some minor upgrades but thats all hear say. Good luck eh.
@japajill Google itr vs blox B's I see that blox b's made the same power as the ITR underboost but the boost gauge "reads" 19lbs with the blox cams whereas ITR needed 23PSI. But thats only because ITR cams do restrict flow but for all motor, they are great, I seem them for cheap and can be used with stock dual springs.
@japajill BTW, I high lift cams wear out rockers faster. Thats why alot of high lift domestics run roller rockers, where the lift can get really high. BTW, I had a 2.4L neon N/A, and it has roller rockers from factory, go figure!

@itsjussjerry in case he wants to keep it more streetable. Not that Pro1's are not but your just moving the powerband around, you are not really making more power. It is simple the formula for HP (T*RPM*5250) which makes higher top end torque seem like your making more power. In fact, you lost usable lower end and just moved it higher up. Now, the B18B has a 1.54:1 rod to stroke ratio and wasn't designed for high rpm.

golden eagle ls-vtec oil conversion line tap ur head and block with the line. go to honda forums. for info for doing it.
also get arp rod bolts and bearing.
if u swap the head use ur ls head gasket.
ls-vtec is not fast unless u cam and tune it.

you should put jdm b16 pistons with ctr camshafts there considered stage 2 & a little better than the itr's. with a jdm b16 tranny also it should be pretty fast!

b16 pistons sound good, but its way too much work to get it to fit ls rods. b16 tranny are sorry down 1/4. you'd be at 5th gear..ugh
