I was touched with the sincerity and acceptance, a far too slow but well worth moutain to climb on TV, Cinema and all the other forms of the art's. Kudo's to the writers of this scene. Frank will be there as father only, not Natalia's spouse. The end! Writers are headed there.

A great scene between ava and olivia so refreshing to see a child actually support their parent pity rafe could nt do the same. But I do not think nat and liv will end up together I think the writers will let us all down and have them be just good friends. If they had any intention of having them stay together they would have had nat call liv when she had sorted herself out to say she was coming home to herand that she still wanted to be with her. The Spaulding story is by far the most interesting storyline besides Otalia. I hope it is mainly Otalia/Spaulding (I know it can't just be Otalia unfortunately) for the next month and a half. They desperately need to cut down on Mallet/Marina and the Coopers for my own sanity, as well as I am sure, many others.

We hear that Olivia will confront Rafe about how he treats her--never happened!! We hear Olivia will chase a woman she thinks is Natalia--never happened either!!! What happened?
Cutting stuff for rewrites is the speculation. Fake spoilers a possibility as well, but it seems like they are just cutting it out. Who knows what the hell is going on at GL. Otalia has just gotten so bizarre. Seems ridiculous to shoot stuff and then cut it. What a waste of time, money, and talent, but GL doesn't make a lot of sense these days. Frank Cooper is statistically on more than any other character as well. GL has no sense at all. Now, I see why it was canceled.

Yes, seeing a jealous Nat would be one of the only bright spots left in this storyline and Josh could accomplish that, since it is obvious he wants Liv. It will also show if Nat actually still gives a crap about Liv. Who knows? Are we just to assume she wants Liv because I would like to see some proof, like jealousy. It looks like the show is going to end with Josh being alone, so I would be fine with him getting a little Liv time. Both of them deserve it and they are sexy together.

Although the Ava scene seemed short, its a great acting moment by Crystal. In less than 20 sec from the time she tells Ava and Ava reacts, she brings up tears of relief in both eyes at that exact moment!

If she saw Frank after O and told him (although not verbatim) "hey, you suck and I want to raise our kid with O", he and Rage would probably say O talked her into it and the whole Otalia cold-turkey we've all been going through would be totally redundant. Nat has to show that no one is coercing or influencing her; she went away, thought on it, prayed on it and she wants Olivia.
Guess what? A new spoiler says that Nat comes back first and foremost for Frank and Liv is secondary. Cuz you know Frank will always be first in this relationship. Puking, now. I will see how this plays out, but if Nat is more concerned with Frank's feelings than Liv upon her return, this relationship needs to be rethought. My Nat love dies a little more with this news. My only hope is that we get Liv turning to Josh for comfort and a jealous Nat, finally.

She broke trust to an almost trustless person. to a person who put her last shredd of trust into her. and she left her without so much as a whistle. then she's gonna return pregnant. so that's another thing she didn't trust Liv with.
If Nat were a man, Liv would still be on her "power to get men" mode. Nat has taught Liv a lot of things (as much as Liv taught Nat) but because since Gus's death, she never played the "female rival" game, she has obliged Liv to put her weapons down, and allowed her to express and accept her vulnerability.
It's the first time that Liv is so powerless, and even though she's frustrated, she's also accepting. The world is no longer an endless battlefield for Liv.
I think that Olivia was attracted to men just physiquily, sexully and not emotionly, now she have all the pacquage, it is the first time that she fills all that emotion, that is why she was so scard when she started to have those feelings.

ITA there are a range of reaction...I don't have children, so never came out to my own child, but to just about everyone else. There was a big range; I am glad and not too surprised Ava is positive, happy for her mother. But from a dramatic standpoint this scene was WAY too short - I think there would have been more surprise, at least a few more questions - not judgment, just curiosity. eg she says "so you love Natalia" - but does not ask "and she loves you?" "wasn't she marrying Frank?"
Ava really cares about Olivia - amazing considering the history. She would be protective as well as happy. She would want more details, and to make sure Olivia is ok - since she is smart and aware she would know there could be problems from Other people - she would care about that.
when my older sister came out i was like "cool are you happy? yeah? good can we return to my issues" for me it was like she told me she got some new shoes as for the rest my very catholic(and stupid) family they shut the door at her face(and i shut the door at their faces) so some people are open minded and their love is for real and the others love when it's fit for their lives(like rage)
I think part of it also is Ava's age. So many more young people are more enlightened these days and their generation (save a few, of course) have a more live-and-let-live attitude. A great scene between ava and olivia so refreshing to see a child actually support their parent pity rafe could nt do the same. But I do not think nat and liv will end up together I think the writers will let us all down and have them be just good friends. If they had any intention of having them stay together they would have had nat call liv when she had sorted herself out to say she was coming home to herand that she still wanted to be with her. The bigots will win again I fear.

No one in a position to know has even given the slightest indication that they won't be together as a couple. CC - on her facebook page - basically told the s/l going forward yesterday. That is, Nat is going to have to win her back. CC is not messing with us! It will happen.

The Spaulding story is by far the most interesting storyline besides Otalia. I hope it is mainly Otalia/Spaulding (I know it can't just be Otalia unfortunately) for the next month and a half. They desperately need to cut down on Mallet/Marina and the Coopers for my own sanity, as well as I am sure, many others.

What is up with these spoilers?? First we hear that Olivia gets arrested, and we get a 0.35 second scene--probably not even--but OK, at least it happened at all. We hear that Olivia will confront Rafe about how he treats her--never happened!! We hear Olivia will chase a woman she thinks is Natalia--never happened either!!! What happened?

Cutting stuff for rewrites is the speculation. Fake spoilers a possibility as well, but it seems like they are just cutting it out. Who knows what the hell is going on at GL. Otalia has just gotten so bizarre. Seems ridiculous to shoot stuff and then cut it. What a waste of time, money, and talent, but GL doesn't make a lot of sense these days. Frank Cooper is statistically on more than any other character as well. GL has no sense at all. Now, I see why it was canceled.

Yeah, the longer this goes on, the more it looks like Nat and Frank deserve to be miserable together. I started watching the show today and five minutes in, Frank is already being a insufferable sanctimonious ass. Nat will be miserable if stuck with him. Their child will be the dumbest kid in town, too. Judgmental as well. Rage and Orange Marina...what great spawn these two turned out. Too bad the only way to save Nat's kid is to have Liv for a mommy. Otherwise, the kid is doomed.

Yes, seeing a jealous Nat would be one of the only bright spots left in this storyline and Josh could accomplish that, since it is obvious he wants Liv. It will also show if Nat actually still gives a crap about Liv. Who knows? Are we just to assume she wants Liv because I would like to see some proof, like jealousy. It looks like the show is going to end with Josh being alone, so I would be fine with him getting a little Liv time. Both of them deserve it and they are sexy together.

Although the Ava scene seemed short, its a great acting moment by Crystal. In less than 20 sec from the time she tells Ava and Ava reacts, she brings up tears of relief in both eyes at that exact moment!

Someone posted it at twop. It is from supersage (an insider over at soapcentral) The exact wording from Supersage is as follows:
Natalia does return by August 10th or 11th. She returns to tell Frank about their baby, first and foremost. Secondary is Olivia. Where is my "shock" smilie.

Peache1Keen - never fear. I think that Nat going to Frank first and Liv second is the right thing for her to do. If she saw Frank after O and told him (although not verbatim) "hey, you suck and I want to raise our kid with O", he and Rage would probably say O talked her into it and the whole Otalia cold-turkey we've all been going through would be totally redundant. Nat has to show that no one is coercing or influencing her; she went away, thought on it, prayed on it and she wants Olivia.

I feel your pain. I am a spoiler ho, especially when the story goes bad and I have to brace myself for what is to come. The good thing is that a lot of the bad Otalia spoilers have sounded worse than they are. So, I will watch this play out on the screen and see how it turns out. I have very little confidence in the writing right now though. The best I can hope for is it will be something like "Frank, I'm knocked up...stay away from Liv and me"...and Nat goes to tell Liv she wants her. Sigh.

If Nat were a man, Liv would still be on her "power to get men" mode. Nat has taught Liv a lot of things (as much as Liv taught Nat) but because since Gus's death, she never played the "female rival" game, she has obliged Liv to put her weapons down, and allowed her to express and accept her vulnerability.
It's the first time that Liv is so powerless, and even though she's frustrated, she's also accepting. The world is no longer an endless battlefield for Liv.

I know Ava lives in San Francisco, and she's mature, and she has seen them together, and everything.

I've had family who reacted badly. But also family who readily accepted--no long speeches or need to adjust.
Ava's been thru so much. She just lost a father she barely knew but grew to love.
She lost her child; the man that she was in love with.
I'm not at all surprised, given her character, that she reacted this way. In fact, I would have been shocked and disappointed in GL if she hadn't.

ITA there are a range of reaction...I don't have children, so never came out to my own child, but to just about everyone else. There was a big range; I am glad and not too surprised Ava is positive, happy for her mother. But from a dramatic standpoint this scene was WAY too short - I think there would have been more surprise, at least a few more questions - not judgment, just curiosity. eg she says "so you love Natalia" - but does not ask "and she loves you?" "wasn't she marrying Frank?"

Ava really cares about Olivia - amazing considering the history. She would be protective as well as happy. She would want more details, and to make sure Olivia is ok - since she is smart and aware she would know there could be problems from Other people - she would care about that.

I agree with Gura, this scene was too short. Just imagine you're Eva or Ashley.
There would occur some questions... like "Oh, I didn't know you're into women as well." or "Natalia, the nun???"
I think the scene was supposed to be longer. At least I hope so.

Yup, I think GL was trying to wrap up alot in one epi.....like they had a checklist
1) have Reva collapse- done
2) have Olivia come out to Ava-- done
3) have Dinah say yes to Shayne- done
Ava should have at least hugged he mother......the scene called for a hug!

when my older sister came out i was like "cool are you happy? yeah? good can we return to my issues" for me it was like she told me she got some new shoes as for the rest my very catholic(and stupid) family they shut the door at her face(and i shut the door at their faces) so some people are open minded and their love is for real and the others love when it's fit for their lives(like rage)

I think part of it also is Ava's age. So many more young people are more enlightened these days and their generation (save a few, of course) have a more live-and-let-live attitude. Rafe - Hispanic and Catholic - so more difficulty there. And before anyone throws darts at me, I'm Hispanic so have some insight into the culture.

E, I agree, part if it is Ava's age. Another part of it is that Ava is more intelligent, better educated and vastly has more life experience and respect for her mother than that little disrespectful idiot that Natalia reared.I'm not Hispanic but I reared an Italian Catholic so I understand the "mind set". I don't agree with it so I left the church. When my older Catholic Republican sister "came out" to me, I did my best to support and reassure her ......

One cannot continue to use the excuse of childhood upbringing or hide behind their antiquated "values" to justify narrow minded and disrespectful behavior. Rafe is simply filled with rage and disrespect! Its time he grew up learned to respect his mother and be happy that his mother found love at all. He could learn a whole lot from Ava or even Emma if he would open his heart just a bit!

I wonder if it's a coincidence that Ava and Emma are great kids and kindhearted human beings who were *not* raised in a religious environment, and then you have Rafe, who *was* raised by an, albeit, wonderful person but in a very religious environment and he is a hateful, judgmental, ex-con?
