  • YYYEAHHH!!! They knew how to DO IT back in the 70's!! ;-)

  • @KingDinoBravo I know right? None of the new shit is half as scary. Back in the 70's-80's, the directors really knew how to create a sense of discomfort. There was mad serial killers u too at the time. Weird.

  • Cept old eds victims weren't young and cute

  • Oh my. I have to watch this. Very Ed Gein/Leatherface style horror. My favorite.

  • Now that's 1 gruesome grindhouse picture! And to think the late Roberts Blossom actually played the deranged killer.

  • I watched this movie when I was making a chicken! :) Lets just say I couldnt eat the chicken after it was cooked...

  • Wwwoh, this actually does look like it will be scary..especially him running after her in that car..good GOD

  • RIP Roberts Blossom. Besides the killer in this best known for the old man in Home Alone.

  • ed gein

  • kinda reminds me of The original Texas chainsaw Massacre, I MIGHT check it out.

  • @TheBoyNextDoor7002 It should, they are both inspired by the same serial killer. Same with Psycho and Silence Of The Lambs.

  • This movie surprisingly effective. Well placed actors and a plot courtesy of Ed Gein.

  • ILove it,I only read a couple comment's.But I'm sure everyone know's this movie is based on Eddie Gein.Special makeup effects by legendary Tom Savinni. The bartender chick is smokin hot, very sexy.I think she even show's her tits can't remember.I have this movi as a double feature on D.V.D with "Motel Hell"

  • remember me texas massacre movies

  • I laughed when she threw the mannequin at him.

  • @alexo1176 that wasnt supposed to be a mannequin that was supposed to be the dead corpse of his mom

  • This was actually a well made film. The lead actor was excellent!

  • @sideshowcarny You are a badass for uploading all of these videos, thank you so much

  • I can only imagine how bad this would have scared me as a kid! (I'm 45).

  • What! is that south bend shovel slayer!???

  • did Tom Savini do effects on this...?

  • Kevin! Stay away from the old man!

  • El buen cine de horror de los 70

  • How could she not take him with his bone?

  • he was going to beat her wit his huge bone

  • this was before the texas chainsaw massacre

  • ED GEIN

  • @peruface Exactly.

  • Another American International masterpiece, Sam Arkoff lives!!!

  • I'm so glad I have this in my collection. Eddie Gein was a very deranged man.

  • Texas Chainsaw Massacre RIP OFF

  • This movie is a cross between Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Psycho.

  • @lyndoncjersey it's called the true story of ED GEIN DUH.

  • @crunchykeller -

"one Dark Night" was terrifying! And guess what it was rated PG. I watched it on HBO on Saturday morning instead of Smurfs and the Littles years ago!

  • Sucks the only uncut version is through bootlegs. The offical DVD release was cut. It's odd a lot of current DVD releases present cut films. The best example I can give is Guyana: Cult Of The Damned, it was so heavily censored and the quality was crap. Hopefully Code Red or Dark Sky give it a proper release.

  • Blame retailers like Wal-Mart and Blockbuster, who won't carry the movies unless they meet some effed up puritanical value system. The production houses have little choice. Wal-Mart infamously does the same thing with music, and they're one of, if not the, top retailer for CD's in the USA.........

  • One of the classic gems from 70s ... Horror with a good punch in the stomach ...

  • The dumb chick forgot ot shut the dam door

  • 0:42 Oh my god, it's Dr. Phil! XD

  • Loosely based on serial killer Ed Gein. Still more 1000x more accurate than Texas Chainsaw though hahahah.

  • Ed Gein, anyone? Steve Railsback played Gein in the self-titled movie a while back too, and while that one was pretty good, you can't go wrong with FX by Tom Savini!

  • I sooooooooooooooo want to see this. Mf'in brilliant!

  • strangely, that dinner scene either eminds me of Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Happy Birthday to me...and then that shotgun scene reminds me of Maniac...

  • It's like Texas chainsaw massacare

  • something tells me its based on ed gein hmm not sure what clue it gave me hahaha

  • OMG, old man Marley really does kill people!

  • MGM should definately re-release this brilliant and hugely underrated masterpiece of horror because it's simply not to be missed. Roberts Blossom is thoroughly amazing in it!

  • wow! do you think they'll ever re-release this on DVD/Blue-ray?

  • @Chrispat8 It's been released on DVD - on a 'Midnight Movies' double with 'Motel Hell'.

  • stupid ass movie

  • They aughta show this flick on IFC. I'm even going to write them and request that they do.

  • well i seem to have seen all the movies based on Ed Gein except this on so ill check it out ^_^

  • This is actually another movie based on the crimes of Ed Gein, as is Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Psycho. This is one that follows the life of Mr. Gein alomost perfectly. Its a great grindhouse film and definately worth seeing!!!

  • @zombielust1969 That is exactly what I was going to say...

  • This is a crappy mix of Ed Gein, Texas Chainsaw and Psycho.

  • what?

  • The killer looks like the painter friend of Frank Morse in "Escape from Alcatraz". This guy, unfortunately had that old man look his whole adult life. This movie should be inspiring to all low budget actors- because you can 'graduate' to the Big Time....

  • It's the same person. Roberts Blossom. A fine character actor.

  • As well as the old man from Home Alone.

  • This is like a twisted up Ed Gein movie or something.

  • Hey! guess what? One Dark Night is on Youtube! the whole movie! here's the thing tho. apparently there was an alternate title for this movie so if you want to see it on youtube search for "Mausoleum"

  • oh yea, there is alot of history concerning Gein and horror flicks. Psycho and Silence of the Lambs were also based on Creepy Old Eddie. I'll have to do a bit of reading up on One Dark Night. I bet it's kinda cool to compare movies like that (odk)and Poltergeist as well

  • you could almost call it a TCM rip-off only the two films were released almost simultaneously and Deranged is a closer-to-fact account of the Ed Gein story, while TCM is extremely loosley based on Gein

  • Mary is hot!

  • Not as hot as my coonhound.

  • i wanna see this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have. It is sick as hell. I like it! I like it! :D

  • this is probably one of the most "under your skin" films ever made. it is based off of ed gein.

  • is that james earl jone's voice ? the same voice for darth vader in star wars ?

  • ED GEIN!?

  • yes

  • this movie looks disturbing as fuck!

  • it is very disturbing.

  • Jesus! THAT looks bloody scary!

  • One of my all time fave's!!!!!

  • mine too. did you notice in the credits, tom savini did the make-up effects? and alan ormsby wrote it? i mean.. you cant go wrong with credits like that.

  • Yeah! I always bring this up when talking about horr the movie rules! Also I dig your photo King Crimson rules!

  • very nice!

  • Didn't that voiceover guy do a lot of ABC promos? Sounds like him...
