  • nice stadium, horrible football team

  • We pride ourselves on being the coldest metro area in the states because we're the only ones in the U.S. who can take this kind of "cold". The pussies can complain, but that's good. We like to keep pansies out of this state. Ski U Mah!

  • you would think that with the minn players so tough that they jump in a coaches face and the coach is so scared he backs off that these bad boys would win every game. but i guess not huh?

  • David Says The D is going to upset Penn State...Anybody else?

    Jadyn for

    The Predictor

  • i drove by North Kinnick 2 the other day and it looks pretty nice

  • It's a beautiful stadium. And yeah it's on campus. For the University of Alabama fan, you Tide got rolled on when Mason was our head coach in Tennessee at the Music City Bowl a few years back. Bring your boys to The Bank and get served again!

  • 50,000 seats, r u kidding me. i attended the Univ of Alabama and we added 10,000 seats two years ago to bring us to 92,550 and next year by opening day another 10,000 will be finished to take us over 100,000. child please!!!! roll tide.

  • is the stadium on campus?

  • 55-0 lol

  • this UofM statium looks off the freaking chain. its gona be a major home field advantage.

  • It's still gonna be Kinnick north. We'll see how tuff gopher fans are come november.

  • Minneapolis/St. Paul is on average the coldest metropolitan area in the world, I'm pretty sure we can handle sitting in our state of the art stadium in november to watch the Gophs beat the Hawkeyes back to the hay bales and cornfields.

  • Minneapolis/St. Paul coldest metro area in the world!?!? Maybe in the U.S.! Maybe you're forgetting Moscow and St. Petersburg Russia, Helsinki Finland and pretty much every city in Canada except Vancouver. I'm pretty sure those places have colder and longer winters. Go back to eating your ludefisk!

  • ludewhat?

  • @racer11483 Minneapolis is colder in winter than Moscow, St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Toronto, and Calgary.

  • @Apoisonoussnake I figured it was colder than Canadian cities of Toronto and Calgary, but is it colder than Ottawa or Edmonton. Maybe it is, but that should be the comparison because those 2 Canadian cities are much colder on average than Toronto and Calgary. The amount of snowfall that they get is probably comparable to the Twin cities as well...oh yah, go Vikes go, can't wait for that first outdoor home game for the Vikes in 30 years at TCF stadium.

  • really sharp

  • It's awesome that there is so much room on the inside to walk around. That way you can avoid huge crowds of people trying to get to their seats.

  • This is great! Their recruiting will take off! When do they play the first game? Natural grass or turf? Will they allow the Vikings to play there until they get a new stadium?

  • the vikings are not getting a new stadium, and they have their own right now, why would they use the gopher's?

  • I was curious and didn't know. After reading the seating capacity was 50,000 I was pretty sure the Vikes would stay at their dome. Would like to see them play outdoors and considering the economy that's probably going to be a while.

  • I see what you mean. I would like to see them outside too, but like you said, that could be awhile. Btw, I'm pretty sure TCF has that grassy turf.

  • Can't wait to go up there win Michigan keeps the jug again in a few years when Minn is back on our schedule. But nice stadium I have to admit.

  • Its a very nice stadium, both in this video and in person. I wish they would have made the seats as a higher angle, to give the stadium that "right on top of you" feeling.

  • I love the Horseshoe but man that stadium is AWESOME - Congrats to the Gophers!

  • what do you mean the goofs cant play here? theyre probaly better than your football team

  • Its supposed to be finished in June/July, right?

  • the goofs arent good enough to play here!

  • This is beautiful stadium. I'm applying to Minn. for law school and I hope I get in. A new stadium like this gives me yet another reason to pick Minn.

  • Something stupid like a football stadium could make a difference in getting really good student-athletes. Who in the hell wants to play in a dome. Michigan and Ohio State recruits just fine, so why can't the UofM?

  • ya i cant wait for us to kick some hawkeye ass

  • wow all u hawkeye fans r dissin on our stadiun u better keep ur stupid corn field eyes open cuz brester is gonna win that pig every time u play here and ur stupid little pre school play pen u call a football studium down in corn field capitol of the world

  • Does anyone know if the University has built or erected a memorial to World War One soldiers? They tore down Memorial stadium and I don't think they replaced it. I heard there was going to be a memorial at TCF for native tribes instead!

  • There will be a memorial to all veterans included in the open end plaza as will the tribute to the native tribes of Minnesota.

  • wow they deserve this maybe once they win in the dome they should get a new stadium

    55-0

  • the new kinnick north...ugly and small, but then again minnesota had problems filling the dome so they probably dont wanna waste money by making the stadium too big. goophers 09

    55-0 go hawks!!!

  • good luck getting seats in 2010!

  • Fucking game aint on tv! what kinda shyt is that.

  • I loved the dome and the beer.

  • the dome sucks ass for football

  • Comment removed

  • looks beast. i want to know when i get my tickets.

  • Ill miss the metrodome

    R.I.P. Kinnick North

  • 6-1 keep it up Brew

  • 7-5 HA HA

    On Iowa.....Go Hawks

  • typical hawkeye fan. rub it in your face because the one thing they have other than corn and lots of land for football fields actually did something. Good luck getting tickets to the next game in Minnesota, though!

  • Yeah they eat sleep and drink squakeye football in Ioweeee cause that is ALL THEY HAVE!! oh yeah I forgot wrestling..ha

  • boring! what makes it unique?

  • The lockerroom is 60 yards long. Second biggest scoreboard in all of college football. Secondary video board is twice as large as the Metrodome's primary video board. One of the few horseshoes left in the nation. Opens up to a view of the Minneapolis skyline. The name of every county etched on the outside. An open concourse so you don't miss any of the action.

  • Wow all this so Gopher fans can watch their team get beat by North Dakota. Classic!

  • Minnesota is 19-0 all-time vs. North Dakota.

  • it was north dakota state. thats back in the days of kupito and pinnix

  • If the Badgers played in downtown Millwaukee in a lame as dome thats out of date, cramped, worst parking imaginable, then you can relate to minnesota football fans. So please shut the F*** up, i'm looking for season tickets now, I can deal with going to dinkey town ever saturday.

  • What an awesome stadium! That's how football in the Big Ten is meant to be played: outdoors and on campus.

  • say it again and i will knee you in the ribs until you cough blood

    bitch

  • Hey man, You just can't compare the Gophers and the Badgers football program at this day and age. The gophers are at a low point, and it can only get better from last season, and like Jelly Bean said, we're making it a horseshoe kinda stadium and they plan to add on later, but it would be too expensive at the moment, since we are also having a new baseball stadium built now.

  • how much people can it hold

  • 50,000. But they are building it so that in the future, we can add on 20,000-30,000 more seats.

    Go, Gophers!!!!

  • I work right there and can actually see the thing being built, its crazy to actually see a stadium slowly but surely be built

  • That is so tight! Go Minnesota! They're so much better than Ohio State and Michigan because we've got Marion Barber III and Dominique Barber just got into the NFL too! He now plays for the Texans. As soon as Brewster gets the team going, we're going to go all the way! Gopher Nation right there baby! I love boobies.

  • nice

  • lol... you jealous of this stadium?

  • It will look pretty nice in 5 years when all the landscaping (trees) start maturing.
