We pride ourselves on being the coldest metro area in the states because we're the only ones in the U.S. who can take this kind of "cold". The pussies can complain, but that's good. We like to keep pansies out of this state. Ski U Mah!

you would think that with the minn players so tough that they jump in a coaches face and the coach is so scared he backs off that these bad boys would win every game. but i guess not huh?
It's a beautiful stadium. And yeah it's on campus. For the University of Alabama fan, you Tide got rolled on when Mason was our head coach in Tennessee at the Music City Bowl a few years back. Bring your boys to The Bank and get served again!
50,000 seats, r u kidding me. i attended the Univ of Alabama and we added 10,000 seats two years ago to bring us to 92,550 and next year by opening day another 10,000 will be finished to take us over 100,000. child please!!!! roll tide.
Minneapolis/St. Paul is on average the coldest metropolitan area in the world, I'm pretty sure we can handle sitting in our state of the art stadium in november to watch the Gophs beat the Hawkeyes back to the hay bales and cornfields.
Minneapolis/St. Paul coldest metro area in the world!?!? Maybe in the U.S.! Maybe you're forgetting Moscow and St. Petersburg Russia, Helsinki Finland and pretty much every city in Canada except Vancouver. I'm pretty sure those places have colder and longer winters. Go back to eating your ludefisk!
@Apoisonoussnake I figured it was colder than Canadian cities of Toronto and Calgary, but is it colder than Ottawa or Edmonton. Maybe it is, but that should be the comparison because those 2 Canadian cities are much colder on average than Toronto and Calgary. The amount of snowfall that they get is probably comparable to the Twin cities as well...oh yah, go Vikes go, can't wait for that first outdoor home game for the Vikes in 30 years at TCF stadium.
This is great! Their recruiting will take off! When do they play the first game? Natural grass or turf? Will they allow the Vikings to play there until they get a new stadium?
I was curious and didn't know. After reading the seating capacity was 50,000 I was pretty sure the Vikes would stay at their dome. Would like to see them play outdoors and considering the economy that's probably going to be a while.
Its a very nice stadium, both in this video and in person. I wish they would have made the seats as a higher angle, to give the stadium that "right on top of you" feeling.
This is beautiful stadium. I'm applying to Minn. for law school and I hope I get in. A new stadium like this gives me yet another reason to pick Minn.
Something stupid like a football stadium could make a difference in getting really good student-athletes. Who in the hell wants to play in a dome. Michigan and Ohio State recruits just fine, so why can't the UofM?
wow all u hawkeye fans r dissin on our stadiun u better keep ur stupid corn field eyes open cuz brester is gonna win that pig every time u play here and ur stupid little pre school play pen u call a football studium down in corn field capitol of the world
Does anyone know if the University has built or erected a memorial to World War One soldiers? They tore down Memorial stadium and I don't think they replaced it. I heard there was going to be a memorial at TCF for native tribes instead!
the new kinnick north...ugly and small, but then again minnesota had problems filling the dome so they probably dont wanna waste money by making the stadium too big. goophers 09
typical hawkeye fan. rub it in your face because the one thing they have other than corn and lots of land for football fields actually did something. Good luck getting tickets to the next game in Minnesota, though!
The lockerroom is 60 yards long. Second biggest scoreboard in all of college football. Secondary video board is twice as large as the Metrodome's primary video board. One of the few horseshoes left in the nation. Opens up to a view of the Minneapolis skyline. The name of every county etched on the outside. An open concourse so you don't miss any of the action.
If the Badgers played in downtown Millwaukee in a lame as dome thats out of date, cramped, worst parking imaginable, then you can relate to minnesota football fans. So please shut the F*** up, i'm looking for season tickets now, I can deal with going to dinkey town ever saturday.

only 50,000 seats wow u can tell they only put that much in so the games will sell out easy wisconsin sells out every game and their stadium holds 80,000 plus what does that tell u about minnesota it just tells u that their the biggest banwagon fans in the ncaa, it's sad when more north dakota fans went to the Dome then gopher fans in that game last year
Hey man, You just can't compare the Gophers and the Badgers football program at this day and age. The gophers are at a low point, and it can only get better from last season, and like Jelly Bean said, we're making it a horseshoe kinda stadium and they plan to add on later, but it would be too expensive at the moment, since we are also having a new baseball stadium built now.
That is so tight! Go Minnesota! They're so much better than Ohio State and Michigan because we've got Marion Barber III and Dominique Barber just got into the NFL too! He now plays for the Texans. As soon as Brewster gets the team going, we're going to go all the way! Gopher Nation right there baby! I love boobies.
Wow! Tim Brewster could turn out to be one of the greatest recruiters ever! He signed a Top 20 class for 2008, and, so far for 2009, he has signed a great quarterback and two offensive linemen from Minnesota. In addition, for the Rivals 250 for 2009, the following ranked players have Minnesota on their list: 19 26 52 54 60 94 105 146 178 212 229 249 250
nice stadium, horrible football team

It's awesome that there is so much room on the inside to walk around. That way you can avoid huge crowds of people trying to get to their seats.
