again at zyroryan- boomslang bites are not often fatal, though uncomfortable and causing a lot of tissue damage and internal damage to organs from hemorrhaging; would take hours, days for death to occur. You need to read a book, dude..maybe a couple of them.

@leonthemenace- boomslangs fangs are beneath their eyes, very large and mobile, a quick strike at a hand usually ends up with venom injected, has to chew for a large dose. Probably doesn't take much to kill a chameleon, though it does take some time.

Chances are that there was no actual venom injected, the venom fangs on a boomslang is very far back in the mouth. It would basically have to "chew"on the chameleon to get venom in. I think he is save, very cool video though.

I actually seen something like this before. Except it was a snake messing with a big ol' toad or bullfrog... Snake was biting the Toad like the Chamleon in the vid - so I got a shovel and chopped the snakes head off and when I kicked the head away from the body of the snake it landed near the toad and he ate it. It was hilarous.

@zyroyan part of their diet actually consists of chameleon's. The thing with Boomslangs is that they are rear fanged snakes, meaning that for them to actually inject venom into their prey, they have to chew on them first. It looks like in the beginning of the video, the snake might of injected venom into the chameleon and is just waiting for it to die. I guess the snake ran off as soon as it notice the dude recording the video.
