hey please someone help i got a strange glith that i can't be hurt and that's on every savegame and when i start the game from the beginning also.when i fall down from height i don0t get hurt when somebody shoots me i dont get hurt and i cant drown but when i play the game from beeginning i can't pick up the syringes and i can't continue..if somebody knows the problem please help :)

@nuklear41 I know. The fire hardly ever actually spreads, and when it does, it goes out near instantly. And i've never actually seen rain. I've heard the sound of rain, and the sky seems to get much more foggy. Never actually seen rain drops though :(

The Dunia engine is actually a heavily modified version of the CryEngine 2, and by heavily modified, I mean that they pretty much took CryEngine 2, kept only a few parts of the source code, and then rewrote everything else.

i like the gameplay, it differs depending on the person, for example to do some missions you have to move alot and the map is rather big so that might be seen as a bad thing by some gamers but they told it would be like that and since you know in on forehand. multiplayer is a lot of fun if you are able to find a good clan

That's not 3D grass. LOL! If it was I'd be able to see all the angles of a grass blade, which I don't. Just more of the same feathered polygon cutouts. That games visuals were dated when it was finally released.

3D grass is nearly impossibel. Iut Far Cry 2 have 3D grass in a way. But real 3dgrass would take a fuckload of CPU, no older pc could run the game.

well the other day when I looked straight down at the grass I noticed I could see both sides of the blades. I wondered why they made the grass spin if it did have 2 sides, then I realized if I ever saw paper thin grass all facing the same way it would look strange.

It's a thing of the wind. When no wind blow the grass don't move, but thats one of the little things which aren't noticed by "normal" gamers. Normally the grass is just a tactical weapon to eliminate your enemys(with fire you know). The only thing I miss in FarCry is sneaking by going down on your stomache.

the game itself is one big tech demo, sad that it didnt catch on the mod scene. i could probably think of a thousand ways to improve the game, more buddy interactions, like riding along with you or manning the machine guns, lots more scripted sequences, and a loyalty system that actually works, and doesnt mean everybody shoots you.

i thoguht this was a good game, but the gameplay was a little more shallow than they let on. like its nothing but you against everyone, you cant really intoract with the factions. like they could have made something were like the more missions you do for a faction, the less hostil they are to you and the mroe hostil the other faction gets. and really i never used much of the stuff they show off. just run and gun it COD style douse jsut fine

then this is really your game, You can approach an enemy camp in almost every possible way. Stealth, hard action or just burn the howl camp down if it's dry weather :D. it all relies on your weapon arsenal. example: I like stealth so my weapons are: Sniper rifle, grenade launcher/deserd eagle, dart rifle, machette. the game gives about 40 possible weapons to choose from! :D

yeah Far Cry 2 has the Dunia Engine, which seems to run quite well, I run Far Cry 2 on Ultra High with a resolution of 1280x1024 and it runs quite good, some parts it slows down a touch.

SPECS: EVGA Geforce GTX 260, AMD Athlon FX-57 CPU, 2 Gb's DDR ram.
